monday.

after a long weekend without saerin, for once in his life, taehyung was practically praying for monday to come sooner.

he had wisely spent the weekend preparing all the necessary arrangements, telling his friends his plans and forcing them to be part of it, drawing up a few back up plans, and writing a dozen scripts.

he was ready.

___

saerin sighed.

her weekend had been uneventful and mundane, and she missed spending time with bts. however, they were taehyung's friends too and would be more naturally inclined to spend time with him. she didn't want them to ditch him for her, but it had been a while since she'd last felt so...

lonely.

above all, she missed hanging out with taehyung. she sighed as she closed her eyes, reminiscing all their conversations, inside jokes, the way they would walk together with his arm slung around her shoulder.

she missed it. how she felt so protected by him, how she felt as if (as cliche as it sounded) there was no one else but them.

and most of all, how he made her heart flutter.

where did it all go wrong?

she sighed. she was stuck like this because she pushed him away, but hadn't he ignored her for a whole week? although she did lie...

swarmed with feelings of regret, she trudged to school after sparing a longing glance at taehyung's house as she walked past it.

_

after an even more uneventful, boring and mundane first three periods, saerin was delighted when the bell rang signalling lunch.

however that was quickly swallowed by the thought of her not being welcome at the table anymore. while the more sensible side of her reasoned that bts and her were best friends and would not fall out so easily, a nagging voice caused a pool of doubt to collect within her.

as she stepped out of class, a hand immediately clasped around hers and began pulling her towards the cafeteria.

jin? what is he doing here?
