1843:
After getting in a car crash and being almost killed by an 18 wheeler tractor trailer i was brought to what I would think the hospital for examining. ( I blacked out halfway to the hospital). Looking up from the stretcher to which I'm strapped to. I notices the groves on the ceiling studying them, I witness the three words, ten, murder, and death. While being wheeled into my room, which I will be staying in until the doctor comes and notifies me what is happening.
I have doctors walking at me from all directions, asking my several questions. Asking for my name, how old I am, do I have any family, do i have any pain of many kind, and i started to point to my throat . The only thing at that point I could say at that time was only yes or no questions by holding up one or two fingers. The doctor that I think his name is Dr. Grey asked if i was feeling any pain, I held up one finger. He then asked on what scale is my pain on, I held of an 8. He asked me to point to where i had the most pain and pointed to my throat. Dr. Grey told me to open my mouth. He began to look down my throat and he told me that the whole way down my throat was rigid as if I swallowed something sharp like a piece of glass or metal.
Dr. Grey said that I would have to have surgery right away. A team of doctors quickly escorted me out of the room and into a OR. I remember them putting me under as if it was just yesterday. The doctors said to count to 10. One, two I could hear the instruments on the tray clanking together. Three, four I could smell the burning flesh. Five, Six and i was out I wasn't even able to make it to ten before i was out like a light. Being able to hear the doctor and smell everything that was happening is the most scary part of being on the operating table and in the OR. 2 hours went by of just cutting and burning of flesh. I then hear a panic in the third hour on doctor stuffing my throat with pads and rags to try to stop the bleeding. Everything for me was fuzzy i couldn't smell, or hear anything any more, and everything went black.
