Chapter Four

Just the Beggining

(Scarlet's Point of View)

As the three of us were talking, I mean two because Marie isn't talking that much, someone caught my eye. He is a nineteen year old boy with blonde hair. He's kinda tall and he looks like a girl. And he looks familiar. Then I noticed what he was wearing, the Kuruta uniform. Oh my god! Oh my god! Is he my aniki?! He's with a middle- aged man, they're heading for the deck.

"Scarlet~chan? What's wrong," Gon asked but I didn't heard him because I was focusing on the blonde guy. Then I was back in reality when Marie shake my whole body. Man, she's stronger now.

"I'm sorry, so what are we talking about," I asked nerviously. They only gave me a 'WTF look' then I turned my head to the blonde guy. I never met my aniki because I was still 3 ½ years old when he left our island. "Scarlet! Hey! What the?!! Are you even listening," Marie asked in a voice of annoyance. "I uhh-" I was cut- off by the ship captain. "The three of you, follow me downstairs," then he walked down. The three of us just followed.

(Marie's Point of View)

As we were heading to the deck, Scarlet seemed bothered again. What is wrong with her? She's been in that situation a moments ago.

We reached the deck and we entered. There is a blonde guy laying down in the hammock while the middle- aged man was eating an apple. Wait a minute?! I noticed the blonde guy's clothes and it looked like just Scarlet's uniform. Oh souka. She found her aniki. Well, good for her.

The captain told us why we participated in the Hunter Exam. The middle- aged man, Leorio said that he want to be a doctor so he could earn money. I said that I want to know if I am strong and test my abilities. Then Gon said he wants to find his dad, Ging. Then the blonde guy named Kurapika said, "I want to hunt down the group of thieves who massacred our clan. I will take vengeance on the Genei Ryodan," as he spoke those words, he's eyes glow scarlet. Then Scarlet stood there, frozen.

(Scarlet's Point of View)

He really is my aniki! But I shouldn't tell him, not for now. Then the captain asked me, "I uhh, I was looking for my.. father Ging!" Oh no! I made it worse! The captain was amused, "I didn't know Ging has two siblings," he said. I face palmed myself in my thought.

Then after that, I saw Kurapika gazing down at my clothes. Oh no! "Where did you get that clothes," he questioned me. "I found them.. they're at the auction," I answered. Again, I lied. Gon and Marie were shaking there heads until..

"Sorry captain! I'm late," a girl said. She has a shoulder lenght blonde hair with blue streaks, her eyes were blue and she looks like the same age as my aniki.

"Jayjay, it's okey. Now this is Gon, Kurapika, Leorio, Marie and Scarlet. This girl is Jayjay. Since she's a rookie like you, you six are going to stick together. Maybe the two rookies are a bit late. Let's just wait for a moment," the captain said. Jayjay smiled at me then I smiled back. She smiled on the others and they smiled back at her, except for Marie. Yep, she sure is snob.

After a few minutes, the ship went rocking. Gon went outside to check what's going on.

(Gon's Point of View)

I rushed outside the ship to see what's happening. I stood in the platform to smell the air. As I thought, a storm will come. I hurried back to them. "A big storm is coming," I said to them then the captain was stirring the wheel.

The six of us went outside. The water droplets of the storm was pouring down. We helped the sailors to put down the sails when Scarlet tripped over but she managed to hold a grip on one of the ropes but she suddenly thrown away by the strong wind.

She was flying towards the ocean. "Oh no! Scarlet," we all shouted. This is not good. I ran towards her and tried to hold her feet but the strong wind made me let go of her.

(Scarlet's Point of View)

I felt Gon held my feet but he accidentaly let go. Nooooo! I shouted in my thoughts. When I was near to touch the ocean water, someone grabbed me. I closed my eyes in fear.

Then I felt we're back on the ship's floor. Everyone runs towards me. Then I saw my 'knight in shining armor'. He has a silver hair, pale skin, pure blue eyes and he's like the same age like me, Gon and Marie.

I ran towards him and thanked him. He's kinda harsh when he said, "Yeah, no problem ms. Clumsy." I felt I'm heating up. I know this is just the beggining.
