Oh. We just went there. Oh crap.

Yup. We are, after prayerfully considering, really doing politics. I'm about to vote for the first time next election, and many of you are also becoming of age. Even if you don't care about politics one stinking bit, the political world around you influences your life. And so there are some things I have to adress in this Mini-RealTalk (only one subject for now!):

This book started out a lot more casual, didn't it?

Now for like 17 paragraphs of disclaimers because I'm a lot more careful than I used to be on PC.

This is really dark. Like... you know, politics kind of dark. Politics-dark is like the darkest shade of darkness you can possibly get, with corruption and scandals and whatnot. Politics dark is the darkest you can get without starting a cult to the goddess of death or something.

I'm sure some politicians really do have a cult to the goddess of death.

Much of this will be my opinion instead of scriptural you-have-to-believe-this-way, and I want to hear yours in a mature civilized way! I don't want to impose my beliefs on you. I don't want to tell you what to think, as much as bring up a serious, much-needed and little wanted conversation on how to think. That being said, underneath my bias is a message I believe of God, just like any other message we try to write on PC. We don't go unless God gives us the green light.

We will try our darndest to keep our own political opinions out of it. When we don't, we will warn you. I feel like this is a God-sent message about politics, and I know you don't believe me, but you will in the end.

In this RealTalk, you will see a lot of my bias, but only because I am the person God's message is speaking through, just like Paul and Peter wrote differently (I don't claim to be as cool as Paul ot Peter!) You will understand the main message at the end is pretty non-partisan and biblical.

As for the attitude we're having in this chapter, this is like the long church-van trip with the cool youth pastor: let's be grown ups and we can have fun and goof around a little with this trip, and I won't nazi-overcontrol you or tell you you're wrong along the way.

If you act up, I will delete your comments, and if you're mean to me or other people, I will block you. This is meant for mature individuals, not people who can't stand people to think diferently. If you're conservative, liberal, whatever, as long as you're not a neo-nazi or a terrorist, your political views are welcome here, and so are everyone else's!

Also, I can only tell you an American standpoint on politics because.. um... we Americans really don't care about your issues right now when we find ourselves in new ones every six hours.

*laughs at self-deprecating joke, watches news for like 3 seconds, bitterly weeps*.

That and I haven't asked for a census on which country all of you live in (but I kinda want to know now!) But don't think I'm assuming everyone on the internet is American. I'm just using my country's politics to prove a point, and this will be just as meaningful for you in the end... assuming your political system is anything like mine.

And I'm assuming you live in a Democracy too, which is of course also proof of my ignorance of other cultures. You'll have to forgive me and teach me what life is like in different places, if it's really as different as I assume it is!

Likewise if nothing I say applies to your country, my bad! Maybe it can at least broaden your knowledge a little bit! This is a real issue some of your siblings in the faith deal with!

I want to know what it's like in your country! How are we different? I think it's really cool to learn about different cultures!

Don't be afraid to express your political opinion, I'm holding myself back from being loud and bigoted (as best as I can 😅), and I will delete rude comments and replies.
