The earth sang as she walked, her bare feet digging into the soft red earth, she felt barely it,lost in a trance as she danced across the forest.Lightning struck the path ahead of her toppling a tree and she didn't even pause as she lifted a hand.

"Phefo"She'd never heard the word before, but somehow it came to her and the fallen tree was lifted out of her way.

She glanced at it as she passed, twirling once and watching red-orange flames crawling up its trunk.

When the sun rose the following day she was still walking. Her feet aching but still moving with all the skill and grace of a hunting cat.Wind whipped across her face, nearly blinding her with her own hair but she didn't stop. When the rain came she welcomed it and kept going.

At some point the gentle drizzle turned into a raging tempest.Beating down on her, going right through her flimsy nightgown. The ground no longer held her weight and she sank into the mud.

The tempo of the song she'd been hearing changed.

Turning deep ,dark and seductive, calling to something in the pit of her stomach, she didn't dare dwell on it.

'Tsamaya'Go!

She didn't question the foreign voice in her mind,it was right afterall.

Whatever was beneath her wasn't just mud.It reaked of something awful and whenever her toes went in a little too deep, they grazed against something too sharp and pointy to be just a simple rock. The thing moved with her and sometimes brushing against her shins, like a predator trying to goad its meal.

She skirted around it,ignoring the phantom tease of the darkness, casting aside the soft promises and clamping her hands over her ears to keep out the haunting melody.
