Our entire Middle School started Wonder, a book by R.J Palacio, about 2 months ago, me a 6th grade reading lover being intrigued by the story, finished this book wishing 5 days. I know Julian's perspective is not in the book, but that what I'm WONDERing about (geddit). I truly feel as if Julian could've been shaped to be an asshole (exscuse my language) by his hateful, snobby, disgusting, judging, & dirtbag parents. He has been molded into a complete and udder jerk. Truly, everyone deserves a real chance to prove who they are, and in my eyes he has either showed who he is as a whole or, he has not shown his true self. Maybe being a bully is just a cover-up as an example of peer pressure, or he's being "cool" in his own eyes. There is also a possibility his parents put him up to being rude because of his "disability" as Julian says. Another possibility is because he could be very insecure. Maybe he believes Auggie is better than him in every way possible. In my opinion it would be and AMAZING addition to the story if R.J Palacio had put ten in his perspective, even if some people wouldn't support, like, or hate the design. Overall this is my opinion, thank you for reading.
- A sixth grade nothing.
