Blessing

Invisible can be helpful.
Being unknown,
Unseen by the world.
Not bothered,
Not bullied,
Just invisible.
Barely even there.

What people think
Isn't a factor,
Because they don't even notice
Or give a second thought.

An observer,
Calm and placid,
Just sitting back
And letting the whole world pass by,
Without a care.

But
What if you fall?
What happens when you cry for help
But nobody can hear
Or see?

Like a tree fallen in a forest
When no one is around.
Does it even make a sound?

What happens when you need saving,
When you need a hero
Or just a friend
To be by your side?
A friend who won't go away
No matter what.

But invisibility
Becomes a barrier.
Like a sheet of glass separating
You
From the
World.

And people can't see you fall
Or hear your cry for help
Your plea for a savior.

So they just pass by
Unknowingly,
Content in their own little bubbles.

And the universe with its cruelness
Keeps you in the dark,
Invisible.

And the gift becomes a curse.

And you fade away.
