Carlos De Vil backstory reaction

Chapter 2

Cruella forced him to sleep on a lumpy mattress in her dressing room, which was littered with bear traps to protect her furs. Forcing Carlos to use alternative methods to enter where he slept.

"I take back what I just said", Ben said, "That's just horrible".

"Yeah, I can't imagine having to worry about getting hurt every time I wanted to sleep". Lonnie shuddered.

"Did you ever get caught in one of the traps"? Jane asked worriedly.

"Yeah, sometimes when I was young," Carlos said and he pulled up one of his pants to show a million white scar lines.

The AK's all gasped and Evie patted him on the back, "On the bright side you never have to go back to Hell Hall ever again".

Carlos just nodded.

While on the Isle, Carlos's mother didn't just make him do normal childhood chores, she filled his days with tasks for herself and humiliated him any chance she got.

Chad Charming called from the chairs in front, "Well, now we know why Carlos is so unpopular: He's never able to get out and go to parties because he's being his mother's personal assistant".

Carlos blushed as everyone else yelled at Chad. He couldn't tell what though because so many voices were yelling at once and only when Ben called for quite.

"Chad, that was an unnecessary comment, and also a false one. So no more, okay"?

Chad rolled his eyes, but when Beast growled from a couple seats over he quickly nodded.

Jane shot Chad a dirty look but she sat back down in her chair. She had been the one to yell the loudest.

Ben signaled for Tessa to start the video again, as she had paused it when Chad had spoken.

One of his primary tasks was maintaining his mother's vast fur collection, which we later find out is something she loves more than her own son.

"What"? Doug gaped, "How can you love coats more than your kid"?

"Believe me", said Carlos, "if your Cruella De Vil, nothing is more important to you than your furs. Literally".

"Tessa"? Jane asked.

"Yes, Jane"?

"Could I sit next to Carlos".

"Yeah, Jay switch with her".

Jane and Jay switched places and Jane wrapped Carlos in a hug.

Not only does she love her furs more than Carlos, but she also calls her car 'her baby' in front of him.

"Wow, that must be hard", Lonnie sympathized.

Carlos shrugged, "You get used to it. Although there was this one time I thought she was talking to me, and I hugged her and told her I loved her. She beat me that day".

"Wait", said Ben, "You mean she actually beat you? Like hit you and stuff"?

"Well worse than that, but yeah".

Jane hugged him again and whispered, "I'm sorry".

Carlos was used as nothing more than a slave to his mother, to maintain her true loves in life.

"If only I knew all of this sooner", Ben said, "I would have brought you here ages ago, Carlos".

"Thanks, Ben, but then I would never have met Evie Jay and Mal",

Although his mother is terribly cruel to him, he is able to repel against her at times.

"Yeah"! Cheered Jay, "That's my Carlos"!.
