PART-2 FIRST MEETING

Nandini went to meet Manik. She asked the receptionist about Manik. She told that he is free so Nandini can meet him now. She guided her to Manik's cabin and left from there. Nandini was hesitating to enter Manik's cabin but thinking a lot she entered into the cabin. She found Manik working on his laptop.

N: uhmm excuse me...

Manik looked towards Nandini

N: I hope you are Manik Malhotra.

M: Yes I am. But may I know who you are?

N: Am Nandini. Can you recognize me?

M: oh yes yes. Please sit.

N: No thanks. I don't want to sit. I want to talk to you something important but not here in office. Can you come outside with me?

M: One minute, please.

Nandini nodded her head. Manik called someone and told him about his going out. Getting confirmation, he cut the call.

M: Let's go.

They went to The Pont des Arts bridge.

They were walking but didn't know how to start a conversation. After thinking a lot Nandini decided to talk first. She stopped at a place and sat on a bench. Manik was still standing there. She asked him to sit too.

N: Can you guess what I am gonna tell you?

M: No. Or may be yes.

N: Don't take me wrong but it's our life so we should be the one to decide with whom we want to stay.

M: hmm. So what can I do?

N: Actually I don't want an arrange marriage. I want someone of my choice. I want to do love marriage. But my bhaiya and di want me to marry you. They won't listen to me. So please tell them that you don't want this marriage. Please.

M: But...

N: please I know you can do this please. I love someone else and it's good for both of us. This marriage will only ruin everything. I hope you can understand.

M: Okay I will try.

N: Thank you so much. I hope you didn't mind.

M: It's ok. By the way I have a meeting now. I need to rush. Hope you won't mind.

N: No, it's okay. You can go.

M: Bye. See you later.

N: Bye.

Then Manik went from there. Somewhere in his heart he knew that he has fallen for this girl at the first sight only. He was happy about that.

He was thinking about Nandini laying down on his bed. Suddenly he got up and took out his canvas and colours. He started drawing something. After some hours he finished his drawing and it was beautiful picture of Nandini.

Next morning
In VYAS MANSION
Nandini came out from her room and found Pooja and Naren talking. She was very happy today as she thought that Manik must have denied for the marriage till now. Naren noticed the never ending smile of her face.

Na: What's the matter, Nandini? You are smiling a little a more than usual today. What happened? Is there something special today?

N: There is nothing, bhaiya. I was just smiling. Nothing special.

Na: Very good. I wanted to tell you that Manik is not coming today.

N: Oh really. I had already told you that these Indian boys have 5/6 girlfriends back there in India and they want to marry a girl from abroad so that they can get a citizenship easily. It's good that he denied before only or we can say he loves away before only. Else it would have been really humiliating for you and di.

P: Ohhh Gid, Nandini, just stop. How much do you speak? Manik is not irresponsible like you. He was ready to marry without even meeting you just hearing his mother. Now we just have to meet them and fix your marriage date. And he is not coming because he got sticker with a sudden meeting. Got it?

Hearing all this Nandini's head started spinning. She was not able to understand what to do. She looked towards Pooja and Naren found them busy in planning for her marriage. Without saying anything she went to her room.
