I woke up in a cold, bleak room. I moved and turned around a bit and realized I was laying on a cot held up by chains maybe a foot or so off the ground. After a good few minutes I sat upright, cracking and stretching various body parts, hearing them pop after every couple of seconds. I looked around the white room, it had two cabinets and a somewhat large barred up window along with a small dresser that had some drawers. I could feel a chill running up my back every now and then and saw that most of the clothing I was wearing was torn practically to shreds. I decided to get up and look around to maybe find some clothing that'd keep me warm.
I got up and stood on the ground, it was absolutely freezing! It shocked me, I quickly pulled up my feet and told myself to keep a mental note. A couple of seconds later I worked up the courage to stand back onto the cold floor.
I finally stood up and walked around, checking some of the cabinets and drawers. The counter with the drawers had some clothes in them, they kinda looked like sweaters so I was pretty pleased with what I found. I stripped off the torn up shirt and slipped into the warm and soft sweater. The sweater warmed me up quite nicely, as I sat back down onto the cot gathering my thoughts.
I don't even remember what happened before really, but I think I might've been kidnapped for government reasons that I'm not too sure of. I remember my name which is Nariko, my friends and family called me Nari for short. I remember my family and all of that, I'm 17 and an only child, but with all that said, what happened was kinda shocking. I was walking back home from going out and taking some scenery pictures for a small project of mine when I was suddenly stopped by some random guy dressed in black armor-like clothing demanding that I follow him. I told him "No" of course and tried walking around him and he stopped me once more, demanding again that I follow him and stop resisting his orders and by this time I basically told the guy to go fuck himself and tried forcing my way through him.
I regretted that choice badly. The guy decided to knock me over and put a gun to my head and called out for some other people, which ended up leading to me being trapped inside of this cold and white cell waiting for whatever is going to happen to me next.
So now I'm patiently waiting for something to happen. I eventually got tired of waiting so I walked over to the barred window and peered through, looking for another source of life or something living at least. The room I looked into was pretty dark but I was able to make out a few shapes inside of the room. I was pretty sure there was a person laying in the middle of the room. So I called out to whoever it was.
"Hello, are you awake...? Maybe...?"
Absolutely no answer from the silhouetted figure in the room. So I waited just a bit longer, looking around my room just a little bit more. Searching around in drawers and finding miscellaneous items in them. I found a notebook with a black pen, a cat figurine, a feather pen and a couple of small gem things with a few attached to bird or cat skulls. I was somewhat baffled so I just left the items be.
After a few more minutes of waiting again, I went back over to the barred window. I wanted to get a closer look into the room so I tugged at the bars and with luck I was able to pull a few off to the point where I could stick my arm and head through. I did so and look around the room again, with my eyes adjusting well to the dark room.
The person had a cot as well but it was kinda weird for them not to be laying in it, hell it looked nicer than mine with a few more pillows plus a thicker looking blanket. They had cabinets and drawers as well as me, with some drawers open and some of their clothing drooping out of them. There was a few clothes here and there strewn across the room as well and they seemed to be laying on a pile of clothes. I called out again, a bit louder as to see if I can wake up this mystery person, who I have no idea if they're hostile or not and are willing enough to knock me the fuck out with any regrets or second thoughts.
"Hello, can you please wake up? I have a few questions to ask of you if you don't mind..."
I didn't get an answer but the person started to wake up, stretching and all of that and watching them pop their neck and shoulders. After they did that they slowly rose onto their knees gathering their surroundings. A few seconds later they whip their head back at me, catching me off guard.
It scared me and I fell back hitting my head on the back the wall. I was still holding the bars until I dropped it with a large *clatter* in the other persons room. I got up off of the ground from hitting the wall, rubbing my head and groaning in immense pain. After maybe fifteen minutes later the bars come flying through my window and crash and crack against the back wall, scaring me once more but I didn't fall back this time.
I took a few minutes to take a breather and calm myself down, telling myself that everything will be alright, for now...
