THE YOUNG GIRL'S FINGERS LANDED LAZILY ON her laptop's keys, emitting a soft clicking noise that contrasted from her family's voice echoing from downstairs.

Hugging her large sized pillow, she placed her chin on it, scrolling through her Twitter account as she hummed a soft tune.

A soft giggle escaped her lips as an idea emerged:

@baebee: why do boys have to be so|

"(Y/n)! Yuma is on the phone!" Her mother called.

Slamming her laptop shut, she rushed through stairs were everyone was messing about. Her mother taking care of everything as her aunt and cousins were arguing about something irrelevant, making the household seem like a poultry farm.

"Yeah? Hello?" She spoke up loudly as soon as she got hold of the device that was resting on a messy table. She gave her annoying cousins a dirty look as she struggled to hear her friend's voice from the other line.

"... –eft me..."

"... What?" She furrowed her brows, glaring at her 15 year old cousins, "will you shut your mouth?" She exclaimed.

"(Y/n)! Language!"

"... –more..."

(Y/n) frowned in annoyance, pressing the phone harder to her ear.

"Still can't hear you!"

"... –ome to the... –fé..."

(Y/n) nodded and hung up the phone somehow understanding what she meant, trying to figure out what the hell was going on with her best friend.

"He left me, (Y/n)!" Yuma sobbed dramatically, her tears landing on the costumers latte.

The girl sat on the stool behind the counter, watching her serve the latte to a costumer. She giggled as the costumer tried to make her stop crying, a futile intention of calming her down.

"How long have you guys been dating anyway?" She asked, her glasses getting steamed by the hot chocolate.

"A month!"

"Oh..."

"We- we even," she sobbed, wiping her tears with the money before shoving it in the counter, "p- promised t-to get matching tattoos!" Her best friend lifted off her sleeve, pointing her forearm.

(Y/n) rolled her eyes playfully at her best friend's melodrama, but a sudden shot of nostalgia and empathy made her look at the floor immediately.

"See?" Yuma showed her his ex's Instagram, where he deleted all of their previous pictures and now were replaced with another girl, "no wonder why that idiot kept his account private!" She shouted at her phone while she scrolled for (Y/n) to see.

Some costumers stared at them, alarmed by the commotion.

"What does she have that I don't?" She sobbed.

As soon as she asked that question, a feeling of unwanted angst filled her stomach, making her grimace.

'What did he see in her that he didn't see in me?'

"H- hey..." (Y/n) placed her mug down, hugging her best friend. "He was stupid enough to cheat on you, and trust me, he's missing out," she punched her arm playfully.
