Prologue.

The summer air was thinner than last weeks. Maybe because it was the last day of school, and the weather agreed in siding with every human being on earth, making it cooler than other days. Or maybe because I was being optimistic, and trying to think that the weather was nicer, when in reality, it wasn't.

But no matter what the weather felt like, it seemed as though nothing could crush my spirits on this faithful Friday.

One reason being, it was a Friday. And another, being that it was the first official mark of summer. If that wasn't enough to make you happy, then I'm not sure what could.

Summer also meant Abigail and I's summer job at Kone, the ice cream shoppe. It's actually just an ice cream shop, but I think shoppe sounds so much fancier.

But all in all-this summer was bound to be a good one. I could feel it.
