CHAPTER SIXTEEN---

---Nicks POV ---

She has a boy friend ?

'Ex -boyfriend ' said my mind.

I think I spaced out a bit , because Emily and 'The boyfriend 'were looking at me.

I did the only thing that everyone loved about me .

I smiled.

I tried not to make it look too fake and tried not to make it look like -im- gonna-kill-you -face.

"Hi oscar, nice to meet you." I said. We shook hands and smiled .

I looked up at Emily and she had a nervous smile.

"How've you've been em?" Said 'The boyfriend '

"I've been good, you?" said Emily in a cheerful voice.

"I'm great actually , right after the ...um ....breakup I found a job which is Olive Garden And soon became a waiter . "

Said 'The boyfriend '

Emily smiled and nodded .

I kinda felt like chopped liver ,so I decided to cut the chit -chat.

"Um, sorry to inturupt y'all guys , but Emily I don't think your parents would like you to be home late;especially on a school night." I said to em,and 'The boy friend'

"Oh, right." Emily said.

" I'll have a sweet tea ." she said.

"And I'll have a coke." I said flatly .

He nodded then soon left to get our drinks.

While we were looking At the menu I decided to start a conversation.

"....So, um.....where -how.......,why did y'all break up ?" I said.

'more like stutterd.' said my mind.

She sighed and looked up at me.

"You know you don't have to tell me if don't want to that's okay." I said to her calmly .

"No , it's okay . I mean you were gonna find out sooner or later." she said .

I nodded and motioned her to continue .

"It all started with those best friend relationships . we totally had it bad back then ." she giggled .

"I liked him, he liked me ......but everything changed ."she said slowly .

"What do you mean.? "I asked her.

"He ...oscar was acting differently .every time I would hold his hand he would pull away from me.

I can tell he didn't want me going over his house. I can tell he didn't want to be hugged by me......, but I can deffinetly tell there was something going on." she said .

" I was at school one day and I saw him hug some girl I was partners with in science class. her name was ....um....Claire ,really nice girl.but then I saw him kiss her on the lips and then they were totally making out.my heart broke at the sight of that. I didn't want to believe it . The Bell had rung ,eventually. Lunch came and I saw him secretly go into the patio . Being curiously as I was , I followed him." Emily took a deep breath and I saw a tear roll down her cheek.

I wiped it with my hand ."...Em... It's okay."

I spoke softly to her.

She sighed ,then continued to tell the story .

"He was kissing the head cheerleader ....." she croaked out.

"He had been cheating with me for months , and....and I didn't even know about it." Emily said sorrowfully.

My heart broke when she had said that.

"- I.......I didn't know what to do ."she said shrugging her shoulders .

"But ,I did know I wanted revenge , so since I have office AD . I snuck into the filed room , I got the phone numbers of the 2 girls and sent them a picture of him cheating on them." she said with no regret .

That my girl . I thought .

"When I went into the cafetirea I was proud of myself. Amber had spilled milk all over oscar. Claire had shoved a chocolate fudge cake all over oscars face. I can tell he was embarrassed . Everyone was laughing at 'em..." she said smiling.

I couldn't help but smile of oscar being humiliated .

"He was looking around and soon stopped as his eyes locked into mine. I walked towards him and spoke these words in a whisper ,so only he can hear.' Remember this oscar. If you ever break another girls heart this will happen again. Also I will always love you......, but I will never forgive you for what you had done .' She said with every detail .

"After that I went home . I cried for about a week in my room . No one hugged me and asked me if I was alright;which I wasn't at that time. The 2 girls moved away , so did oscar.he tried calling me on my phone , but I declined him . He wasn't my childhood friend anymore. That's why I don't date guys no more. I have a trusting issue. when I went to school I soon became The outcast."

She said thoughtfully .

I reached out my hand over the table and held her fragile hand.
