I think in episode 45 Cure Macaron is fighting Elisio and she is knocked out so hard, that she goes unconscious. Then maybe Cure Chocolat gives her "CPR" (If you know what I mean) to revive her.
Maybe that's one way Toei can make them kiss appropriately for kids.
