Chapter 23: "Don't Do It, Jack"

TRIGGER WARNING

Jack saw the razor laying still in the silence of the hotel room. He closed the door behind him and locked it. He picked up the razor and pressed it down on his wrist.
He tugged the razor across his wrist, blood pouring out of the new wound. He closed his eyes, tears welling up. The blood dropped down his arm and onto the chalky white tiled floor. He opened his eyes and did it again, making another cut, then another, and finally one last one. He did it again to his right wrist, the tears finally escaping his brown dull eyes.
Jack stared down at the blood on his arms, now soaking it red, blood dripping down from his arm.
"I️ did it.... what have I️ done?" He whispered. He placed down the razor and let water pour down onto his cuts. He flinched as his new wounds started to sting with agony. He pulled out some bandages and wrapped them around his cuts and pulled down sleeves.
He then began to clean up the mess he made and left the bathroom, hoping that everything would just disappear into the night, but it didn't. It'll now be a memory apart of Jack. He shook his head and sat on the bed, staring at Noah.
"Why can't this all just go away?" He asked aloud, putting his hands over his face, wanting the earth to swallow him whole at that very moment.
