He's Stuck In My Mind

"Just when I think I have you in safe keeping, that's when your memory it comes around creepin'."

Dr.Schneeplestein's View

It all was just a normal, average day. The same routine as most mornings in the winter. Get up, shower, dress, brush teeth, do hair, make coffee, grab stuff, slip on jacket, drive to work. All was the same in my morning, all was calm like a field of wheat, calm like the chilly winter wind blowing through the air, calm like my heartbeat.

As soon as I arrive at the hospital, I grab my bag and mug of coffee and walk in. The font desk manager, Clara, greated me with her comforting smile, I gave a nod and a small wave as a response and headed straight to my office. The office which held so many patient files, so many files of patients waiting for a new organ, so many files of patients having a successful surgery, but some files were of fatalities, fatalities I would barely ever look at. They devastated me, many did not turn an eye to care of my feelings, but there was always one doctor who was there to pit a hand on my shoulder and remind me things like death happen. A doctor with dark, brown hair. A doctor with deep chocolate eyes. A doctor with beautiful tan skin. A doctor I envy.

Dr. Iplier.

The name rushed straight to the frontal cortex of my brain each time I think of that one name. It washed over my thoughts and consumed my very essence. But I couldn't let my feelings get in the way...right? No. Yes?
Whatever, I have to at least get some paperwork done this winter morning. So I sit down at my desk, not even caring to take off my jacket, and straight away pulling out my laptop and typing up files, both joyful and regretful.

So many files, so many minutes, but only one hour of files. All of the focus shattered when I heard a knock at the door.

"The door is unlocked." I yelled to whoever was the door.

"Dr.Schneeplestein, very pleasing to see you again." A deep, rich, absolutely delectable voice greeted. I knew this voice.

Dr.Iplier.

"L-likewise, Dr.Iplier. How has your morning been?" I said, hoping that he would not notice the blush forming across my face.

"Quiet pleasing. Two patients dying, one with a blood infection and the other a major injuries caused by a car crash." He replied calmly, proceeding to sit in the seat in front of my desk.

"That's terrible," I adjusted my position in my seat so I looked a little more formal as I closed my laptop. "Stream line infection, did you take proceedures to see what went wrong?"

"The head of the surgeon team is checking on that as we speak. Anything exciting with you today?"

I had to think for a moment. "Well I've only been making some files, nothing much I suppose. Is there anything else going on this morning?"

"I don't believe so. So I was wondering if you wanted to get coffee or something? We don't have any surgeries or appointments scheduled." He asked with a small smile on his face.

I didn't know what to say, I mean of course I would love to hand out with him but what if things get awkward? I don't want to splurge out my feelings for him today. It just isn't the right time. But I have to, what if it is the right time? Oh sure hope it is.

"I would love to. Would you like to go right now?"

"Sure! Whatever you would like to do." He chuckled and stood up, grabbing my coat and handing it to me.

"That would be good." I gave a polite smile and slid on my jacket, blushing a tiny bit at his kind ways.
