I'm out on a supply run

Gabe put down the letter, he sighed and walked out of his bedroom and into the kitchen where Kate is. Although Gabe has been depressed from his sister/Bestfriends death, he has been pretty mature since. Its noticeable he misses her deeply though.
"Morning" Kate says and smiles. Kate always has this smile.
"Good morning" Gabe reply's with a little smile.
*Gun shot*
"Gabe get down" Kate almost yelled but said quietly, Gabe got down and Kate and Gabe heard a girl
"T-they took him" The girl says sobbing. Kate looks at Gabe and gets up, Gabe soon follows. Kate opens the door and the girl quickly points her gun at Gabe.
"H-hi" Kate says and the girl gives her a death glare.
"Hello..."The girl says and Gabe stares at her
"Im Kate and this is Gabe" Kate says and Gabe doesn't wave, yet he just stares at the unknown girl.
"D-do you need help" Kate asks her and the girl hesitantly nods
"They took him away from me" The girl says and Kate nods, Kate hesitantly walked up to her and hugged her. To her surprise she hugged Kate back.
So this is my new book...I'm sorta excited to see where this turns out! Stay tuned!
