The vast campus, new atmosphere, different people, increasing stress levels, adrenaline rushes, goosebumps, friends for life, crushes, heartbreaks, assignments, internals, practicals, semesters, social pressure, relationships.... Huff. Hold on. Coll...
"Excuse me. Do you know where the academic block is?"
"Hey! Look at this yaar!! This block has seven floors!!"
"Oohhhh. Look at that guy! Mahn!!! He is too handsome!!"
"Yaar... Where is the canteen?"
"Do we have the orientation program today?"
"Can we go home now?"
"This college is too boring ya."
"Do the seniors rag?"
I could hear these voices as I walked along with shalini in the grassy lanes o the college. I really loved the owner of the voice who questioned about the canteen. That's so me. Even I wanted to know where it is.
"Shalu, do you know where the canteen is?" I asked her with little hesitation.
"Uhmm. Great idea! Anyways we are early to the college. There is still time for the program. Which canteen we can go to? There are 6 canteens here." She said. Thank heavens!
Now, this is what called as a paradise to a glutton like me!
"Hey, Anjuuu!!" familiar voices made me jerk.
I turned back to find my school friend with some more school friends of mine. I looked at them unable to comprehend.
"Hi!" I said as I smiled.
"You're in this college as well?? WOHOOOO!! That's awesome!! We all will have loads of fun!" One of them said.
Well, actually after my school life got over, I had lost many of my schoolmates' contacts. I got to know only now that they have become my college mates as well. Anyways, I am happy that I have a bunch of people who I know well in this college.
"Shalu, these are my school friends." I introduced shalu to them and vice versa.
"Des-Pa-Cito...."
My phone rang loudly making guys and girls look at me. I picked the call hastily.
"Hello?" I said as I moved away from the crowd.

"How's college baby?" HE asked me.
"Monkey.... I am feeling damn nervous!" I said.
He laughed hard.
"Aarav!! You're laughing??? I hate youuu!!"
"Anjuuu... Yaar.. Come on. You're stepping into the next phase. You should be happy. Not nervous. And mind you, you're gonna love this phase. Try to enjoy to the maximum. Coz, you will miss these beautiful memories later." He said.
"Now stop this advice session. The program is gonna start. I had planned to go to canteen before the program. But, because of you I couldn't. Idiot!"
