Time my Love (Doctor Who fan fic)

Anya POV

"Jeremy!! Stop it!!" I giggled as he led me down the old railway tracks.

"Come on Anya, we're nearly there!!" I knew where he leading me. And I realised it wasn't a shortcut home.

"You’re not taking me to that bridge. You know what happened to Elizabeth when she came down here with Dave."  He put his arms around me and said that nothing would happen to us.

I sighed and let him guide me to the bridge. We were investigating what was happening to Elizabeth who was older sister. She and her boyfriend came down here three months ago and only she came back. She said that she saw a shadow. It looked like it was on fire. When she turned back to Dave, he was gone.

She came back home, shaken with a sprained ankle and her best heels and clothes, ruined by the rain. She is still in her room, driven mad by grief. She and Dave had been dating for four years when they started high school at 12. I and Jeremy have been dating for three years when I came to his primary school in year five when I was 10. I'm now 13 and I feel like my life as just begun.

"Jeremy,” I whined," Please can we go. I'm scared. What ever got Dave might get me or you and I don't want to die!" I started to sob as he pulled me into a soft, comforting hug.

"We have to see if Dave is there. You do want to find him don't you? And make your sister happy again." I nodded and then we began to walk slowly towards the bridge.

As we get near and near, it started to pour with rain. We ran underneath the bridge and collapsed in a heap.

"We’re here... we made. Now let's go looking round." Even though this was a bridge, it was also made into a series of passage ways so people could live there if they had no where to go. But they were kicked out when a new railway company closed down that bridge.

He mysteriously died two days before they were going to knock it down. They think it was a natural death. He was 32 years old.

As the two of us went deeper into the passage ways, we saw something run past us. We whirled around. I took a deep breath.

"Who's there?" I shouted, trembling in fright. Jeremy drew me closer to him.

Then, what I saw made me shriek. I saw a shadow, with flames burning around it, holding another shadow, blood was dripping from the smaller shadow as it hung limply in the shadow's hand.

I lost it then and ran towards it with Jeremy hot on my heels. We rounded a corner where I dropped to my knees in shock. Dave was hanging by an invisible rope, his once handsome was mashed up and nearly unrecognisable, his feet weren’t there and bloody stumps remained.

I screamed and I sobbed uncontrollable in Jeremy's arms. I never heard the whirring noise of a machine. I just cried and cried. What would I tell Elizabeth? What would I tell his parents?

"Come on Anya, we need to go. Whatever is here did this too him. We can't stay. Let's get you up." Before I could do anything, I felt a strong force throwing itself onto me, suffocating me. I took all my strength looking up.

Jeremy stood there, looking bewildered. I used up the last of my weak strength and push. The force slide away and quickly stood up.

"Jeremy, we need to go now!!" I yelled. He took my hand and we ran. We never stopped running.

My breath was fast and heavy. My blood was pounding round my body. We ran down one passageway, then another, trying to find a way out. A murderous scream ripped the air and we stopped and started to shake with fear.

We heard pounding footsteps as we sank to the floor and hid in a corner.

"Anya... I'm so sorry. I think we're going to die." I shook my head quickly.

"No!! Someone will save us. Something will happen!! It must!!" He just kissed the top of my head and we waited for the end because we knew that nothing would save us.

The pounding footsteps were still getting louder and louder. I closed my eyes and buried my face into Jeremy's chest. He hid his face in my long black hair.

"Hey!! You two!!" We jerked our heads apart. The footsteps were still getting louder and louder but we saw a man in a kind of tweed jacket and a bow tie. He beckoned to us to follow him but we stayed put.

"Come on!! You need to get out of here." We looked at one another before standing up and going slowly towards him. He reached out to take my hand but I jerked back.

"Just show us the way back." I growled, he nodded before leading us to this blue police box and opened the door.

"No way are you thinking that me and Anya are going in there." Snarled Jeremy," You are just going to do that thing too us like you did to Dave!!" The man looked taken aback.

"Who's Dave?"

"The poor boy that fell into your hands!! You took him from my sister!! As soon as we are out of here. I'm going straight to the police!! MURDERER!!" I screamed before breaking down again in Jeremy's arms.

"Look, just get into the box and then we can talk about this." I looked at Jeremy and he nodded. We got into the box and gasped. It was huge. We turned to see the man lock the door behind us.

"Doctor? Who are they?" Said a red haired girl, coming out with a guy behind her.

"Good question, who are you? And what are you doing here?" The three of them came a bit closer and I slowly slipped my hand into my handbag and found my pepper spray.

"I'm Jeremy and this is my girlfriend Anya. We came to find Dave who we have found murdered and that you three are guilty of this murder."

"My sister will be heart broken, even more then before. She is at this moment in time, in her room staring into space and sometimes wailing in misery. Dave was her boyfriend."

The man who was called the 'Doctor' came towards me and then I lost it. I whipped out the pepper spray and got him right in the eyes. The red haired girl screamed and ran towards, trying to get it off me.

"Not a step further. Tell me where we are and then we’ll be on our way. And one of you will show us the way out" I said calmly, pointing the pepper spray at them like a gun. The Doctor rubbed his eyes and pressed a button on this strange console.

Suddenly, the ground around us began to shake and suddenly, I was tumbling in darkness.
