Spike's Pov
I sat down by Twilight playing with my claws, thinking about Rarity. She was coming over for dinner at Twilight's library, and I was nervous... I finally get to tell her my feelings for her, but what if she doesn't feel the same for me? What if she likes somepony else?

Twilight turned her head looked at me, she sighed. "Spike what's the matter"? I looked away from her and hopped off the chair, I then turned around to face her. " Twilight? Can I ask you something"? She looked at me with concern, and started to walk towards me. She put a hoof over my shoulder and smiled at me. "Sure! Anything, whatcha wanna know"?

I closed my eyes and breathed out really slowly, only to find myself opening them again. " How can I tell Rarity my feelings for her if I'm nervous, will she feel the same"?

Twilight's Pov

I choked at the question, I wanted to scream at him. Spike! Rarity doesn't love you, I know who does! But she told me to promise I wouldn't tell you! I slowly put my hoof down and breathed in, the words threatening to pour out. "Spike, I honestly don't know... you'll just have to wait until after dinner, I'm sorry". He sighed and walked off into the room, I thanked myself for not spilling it out.

I watched the clock, Rarity would be here soon, I invited her over to discuss the party that Pinkie of course was planning for a new pony that came to Ponyville. His name was Pokey Pierce, dark blue fur with a light blue colored mane. He was alright for a stallion, not that I like him, but Pinkie does... I think.

The door bell rang, I looked at the clock. 7:00pm perfect. Spike beat me to the door, smiling when she walked in. " Good afternoon darling! How are you? Oh, and how is Spike"? Spike frowned and walked off to sit at the tablet, I knew he would be mooning over her. Though it was kinda cute, but the thought left my mind.

Rarity sat by me while two chairs away from Spike, his eyes were sparking with love. I sighed and decided to let them talk while I got the food, I got up. "I'll be back I got to fix something up for you guys be right back". Rarity looked at me and smiled while Spike looked at her again.

Rarity's Pov

Twilight left us and when I turned Spike was right next to me. " Rarity I want to ask you something, but I don't know how to put this". I raised my brow, and in return I spoke. "What is it darling"? He sighed and his eyes sparkled, like I've never seen before.

" Rarity, I know that I may a little off at sometimes but... I like you! And I don't know if you feel the same way". My eyes were rounder than owls, how was I supposed to tell him that I like somepony else... I like Tenderhoof (I think that's how you spell it correct me if I'm wrong😅) , okay let's start slow. "Spike, I- I'm sorry but I don't like you like that, I love somepony else. Plus, your not my type". Wow nice job.

His eyes were sad and angry but with more sadness in them, he quickly hopped out the chair. " I KNEW IT, NOPONY LOVES ME!! I'M JUST AN ASSISTANT RIGHT!!!!!? THIS... Never mind.. Good bye Rarity have fun". He ran out of the room crying and Twilight trotted into the room, her eyes filled with worry. "What happened"!
