Chapter 5 - Old friends

When I finished preparing, I wrote her a note before I went to downstairs. I sure hope she gets well fast.

Crystal's POV

Everyday, Dexter gives me a set of worksheets and reviews me some lessons but he also takes care of me. A week past and my fever was gone. I was able to catch up on the lessons.

(Time skip to next day)

I woke up, then I took a bath. I wore my powder blue dress with long laced sleeves and pink heels. I let my hair down, curled it and put on my headband. I magically shrink my things before putting them in my shall white bag. When Dexter and I are already downstairs, I saw Holly walking towards a girl who looks exactly like her. Wait, is that.....POPPY?! By the time she recognized me, I was already walking towards her and Holly.

Me: Poppy!
Poppy: Crystal!
Me: I haven't seen you in a while, how have you been?
Poppy: I'm fine, actually. How were things in arendelle? We haven't visited it for so long.
Me: Mom says that everything is fine there in arendelle.

As we we're catching up, we drift more deeper into our conversation. Holly suddenly pops out of no where with her long hair all over the place.

Holly: Sorry to interrupt your sweet conversation, but Poppy needs to make her decision now.
Me: Yeah right, I guess I'll just see you around Poppy.
Poppy: Bye Crystal, see ya.

Today was Wednesday, it's our free day. The headmaster yesterday announced that we would have no classes for at least 2 days because of some new students that need catching up in the new semester, just like Poppy. I'm so excited to see what Poppy will turn out to be, whether a royal or a rebel. After that short reunion with my old friend, Apple, Briar and I went to the village of bookend to find something to do. First, we went to the O'hair salon to get our hair fixed. Then, we went to one of the boutiques and tried on some fabulous outfits . After that, we went to Ashlyn's shoe store, she even gave us advice on what shoes might fit us. After all the fun we had, we went to the cafe and ordered hocus lattes. Then we said our goodbyes to each other and went to our dorms, it was hard to bring so many shopping bags into the room but I managed to do it.

Dexter: Looks like you guys had fun.
Me: You bet. By the way Dexter, I bought you the book you're always talking about.

I hand Dexter the book, his eyes shimmering with joy.

Dexter: Where did you find this? This is one of the rarest books in the world, even our library doesn't have this.
Me: I happen to stumble upon a very old bookshop, and I looked around. I saw the book and remembered you, so I bought it.
Dexter: Gee, thanks a lot.
Me: You're welcome.
Dexter: Oh, I almost forgot about.... ( gets something from his side table) .....this.

Dexter hand me a purple velvety box.

Me: What's this?
Dexter: Open it.

I opened the box, revealing a necklace with a shimmering stone at the center.

Me: This is so..... beautiful, thanks Dex.
Dexter: You're welcome, It's a magical teleportation necklace.
Me: Really? How does it work?
Dexter: First, you need to ring this.....

Dexter handed me a bell bracelet.

Dexter: Then say the place where you want to go. Why don't you try it?

I wore the necklace, ring the bell and say "Take me to my room in Arendelle" . There was a flash of white light, after the light had vanished, I found myself in my bedroom in Arendelle. I quickly went to my mother's office, she was so surprised when she saw me but she quickly hugged me tight and I hugged her back. Mom didn't bother to ask how I got here but she asked me how I was doing in school, I said I was fine and that she shouldn't worry about me. I looked at the time and bid goodbye to mom. When I got back from Arendelle, I realized that Dexter was in the bathroom. I prepared my clothes and wait for him until he was done in the shower. Dexter came out with a towel that only covers the lower part of his body, I quickly look away. He quickly went to his dressing room. I took a warm bath and then changed into my nightgown. I saw Dexter sleeping soundly, he really is cute without his glasses. I smiled and give him a light kiss on the cheek, then I lay in my bed to sleep.
