It was late in the year,December 1st. It was the winter after the war with Gaia. Fee campers were saying year round as usal. The camp consisted of, Will, Nico, Austin and Kayla, and a few other campers.
The monsters (or kindly ones for those name freaks out there) were not pleased with the outcome of the war so they planted a small bomb in the forest. Who ever was near it wouldn't kill, but it sent the waring that they would attack soon. The bomb looked like a voice recorder and played sounds like someone was yelling for help.a few people heard it and deiced to check it out. The group was Will,Kayla, Austin and Chiron.
They made it to the spot Will picked up the bomb and turned it in his hands.
"Huh just a voice recorder"
Will said he didn't notice the timer witch was on 10 seconds on the back.
"WILL PUT THAT-" Kayla screamed but she was intrupted but the bomb going off. It blew everyone back a few feet.
Kayla and Austin immeaditally were up at will's side.
"Will" Kayla said gently. She looked him over for injuries. Only a few cuts and scratches on his hands. But he didn't respond people were yelling at him. He didn't look up.
Kayla shook him and he looked at her.
"Will!" She said
"I can't hear" Will said in sign language. He had learned sign language a while ago.
"Oh gods are you okay other then that?" Austin signed back.
"I think"
"Okay let's get you to the infirmary"
Will nodded and Kayla helped him to his feet.
They got back to the infirmar.
They tried every type of cure, remedy and eveything in between nothing worked it was upsetting to them.
"Guys it's fine" Will signed
"No its not" Kayla said back
"Okay let's just stop for today I'm dizzy and drugged" he signed back
"Okay stay here tonight just in case I'll send Nico in" Austin signed.
They both left and Will realised he was deaf there was no going back he would never hear Nico's voice again. He started to cry uncontrollably.

Nico was sitting by the fountain starring out at the glistening dark water at sunset. He hadn't seen will all day.
Kayla ran over.
"Nico come on, something happned to will" He immediately bolted up and ran over to her.
"Is he sick or hurt"
"Well kinda both"
"What do you mean you can't be kinda sick and hurt it's both or one or the other"
"Nico calm down you'll stress him out"
"I won't and I am calm" by that time they were at the door to the infirmary.
"Nico seriously calm down"
Nico slammed open the door to Wills room. Will didn't even flinch.
"Will?" Nico said.
"Will" "will" he kept repeating his name.
Kayla walked over and put her hand softly on will's shoulder and pointed to nico.
"Hi" He signed (nico also knew sign)
"What happned?!"Nico signed he was stiff as a board.
Will let the tears fall and he sobbed and opened his arms.
Nico ran into them, embracing him.
Nico kissed will right on his cheek. "It's okay" he said even though might never here him.
Nico pulled away and signed
"What happned"
"The child crying in the forest it was a bomb it shot my hearing good, I can't hear anything."
"Oh my gods, will I'm sorry, I love you" He signed and hugged him again
"Thanks, just I don't want to spend the night alone"
"I'll stay with you."
Nico crept under the blanket with him them both in one another's arms.
