Once upon a time, there was a shinigami unicorn. A shinigami is a Japanese death god. The unicorn's name was Mysty. Mysty had very white pale fur. She had pink hair with yellow highlights in it and her horn had a metallic rainbow effect on it.
There was a kid named Lucia who lived a happy life as an 8 year old. She had no siblings and was an only child. Lucia admired unicorns. One day, Mysty appeared to her at 7 o'clock in the afternoon. They spent a while chatting together about their wonderful lives. All of a sudden, Mysty asked Lucia if she believed in unicorns.
Lucia replied with a warm, heart melting smile on her face and gladly answered yes. Mysty told Lucia that she should get going back to her home. Lucia was sad that Mysty had to leave but, she was happy that she at least got to talk to a unicorn. Mysty left at 9 o'clock at night. It was 8 in the morning, and nobody had noticed that Lucia was missing.
Her mother thought it was strange that she hadn't woken up by now so she went to go check on her. When she walked into her daughter's room, she found Lucia's bed sheets perfectly done and folded but no sign of Lucia. She looked everywhere in the room and still couldn't find her so she started to look all over the house. She decided that lucia was missing and called the cops. The cops came and searched the entire house. They even searched in places that her mother had not looked and still couldn't find her.
The cops decided to report Lucia missing. When it got out on the news that Lucia was missing, a young woman called Lucia's mother. From what the young woman's voice sounded like over the phone, it seemed as if she was in her 20s. The young woman over the phone had told Lucia's mother that her son had also gone missing in the exact same way. When she went to go look for her son, she found everything in his room perfectly organized. Both women started talking about their children's personalities and that's when Lucia's mother brought up that her daughter believed in unicorns. Then the young woman was in shock and froze. Lucia questioned if the young woman was still there. The young woman then replied, "My son believed in a mythical creature as well. He believed in centaurs.". Both women decided that maybe their children's beliefs in mythical creatures is what caused them to go missing. But how?
They got a detective from the government to come and investigate this case. He too agreed that their belief in mythical creatures is what caused them to be missing. But then again, the question is, "how?". The detective decided to get a mythical creature expert to take on the case. That's when everything clicked.
The mythical creature expert had said that their kids were not missing. They were in fact probably dead by this moment. The mythical creature expert claimed that when young children believe in mythical creatures, a shinigami version of that creature comes to kill the child for being foolish enough to believe in mythical creatures. The expert told Lucia's mother that a shinigami unicorn probably came and took her away. The expert also told the other young woman that her son was probably taken away by a shinigami centaur.
