chapter 12: im sorry⌛️

taehyung pov

"It was when i was studying in law school. I was involved in a hit and run accident in 2015. I was the driver." She said, looking down.

"w-what? but you dont drive." I told her.

"I wanted to try out driving. So i borrowed yerin eonnie's car. When i was driving, i didnt know how to control the speed and i couldnt stop in time. Then i hit yoo seonseyim's wife. The case was closed immediately when my appa told them insta-" she stopped talking and cried.

"i-.. i shouldve been in jail and not be a lawyer if my appa didnt told them to close the case. This is why, i helped yoo seonseyim and chanwoo. I met chanwoo at their funeral. They both didnt know that it was me." She continued.

"Y-you killed yoo seonseyim's wife?" I was shocked and i backed off.

"t-taehyung-ah.." she cried.

I dont know why im feeling this way. I didnt want to be close to eunbi. I was the one in charge of the hit and run case. But it was closed without any reasons behind it. So it was her. I immediately took my motorbike and went to office to grab my stuffs and head home.

eunbi pov

I think...i should do what is right.

"Chanwoo-ya..kaja i'll bring you home :)" i wiped my tears away.

"Noona were you crying?" He touched my tear stains on my cheeks.

"Ani ani, i was just yawning alot. Im tired chanwoo-ya" i smiled.

I brought him home and realised that taehyung left. I must have made him regret being my friend. Im a murderer anyways. Yerin eonnie can be close to taehyung now.

*** skip to after the assault case trial***

"Park seonseyim is innocent. Yoo seonseyim, somin seonseyim will be sentenced to jail for 2 years. Case closed." The judge announced.

We all bowed and i went to yoo seonseyim after everyone left.

"Mianhe yoo seonseyim.." i knelt down.

"Eunbi-ssi, why are you apologising? 2 years is good enough :)" he smiled gratefully to me.

"I was the cause of your..wife's..accident.." i muttered.

"Eunbi-ssi...ive known it was you all along :) ive already forgiven you.. kamsahamida for taking care of chanwoo for me :) i'll see you soon" he said and left.

I cried again. I felt uneasy.

I went to the office and left my resignation letter there. I packed all my stuffs in the office in a box and left the office. I also left taehyung and jungkook an apology note. It was lunch break now so no one is at the office.

It has only been a week. Only 1 case handled by me. And i'll be jobless, not a lawyer anymore.

I went to the lobby and went in jackson's car. He is sending me home.

"are you sure eunbi?" He asked me.

"I should have done this 2 years ago but appa chose to save me from being a murderer" i said looking at the view as jackson drove.

"Yah. Its an accident. You can just pay for it" he said.

"But that wouldnt help yoo seonseyim's family. Im sure they would be in peace when they found the suspect of the hit and run accident. Just put yourself in their shoes. They are not that rich unlike appa and eomma. We have to help them." I said.

"Dont tell jungkook and and taehyung where ive gone to. I told them that i will be overseas to visit my friend. I will turn myself in but not get involve the trial. I will accept whatever sentence i'll get." I continued.

Jackson just punched the stirring wheel and groaned. He is frustrated. Im..sorry..
