chapter 1 - fate

It was her first day spent in a foreign country. China did have one thing Jina love, it's the beautiful coastline. The sun was near the horizon pretending to be drowning in the sea. Sand dunes glowed in the evening sunlight. So did the sea.
There were mostly chinese around her. She was not very good with chinese. So, she just acted deaf to everithing people said.

This trip was a gift from her best friend Hyanji. They attended the same middle school when they were little.

Unfortunately, her father wanted Hyanji to study in a famous school only rich people are allowed. Hyanj's dad Mr.Min is a big businessman.Jina is not interested in business but she is all about studing.

This trip was a present Hyanji's parents gifted her. As she insisted on Jina joining on the trip her parents allowed. But they didn't like their friendship. Hyanji was always around Jina but Hyanji's mom wanted to have some only family time in the restaurant they stayed at.

Beach was the only place Jina could find peaceful. Also not many people paid attention to her, just some vendors selling ctafty items.

She rolled the two rings hanging from her necklase. It was the only thing her parents left to her. His father was a scientist and her mother was a chemist. After their laboratory burned, her whole life changed. She was 7 years old then.

She stopped rolling the rings cause painful memories started to wander her mind.
Jina rose up and went to soak her legs in the sea water. Waves made her relax.

"Are you enjoying?" Hyanji's voice came from her back.
"Somewhat" Jina answered.
"Why don't you come join us. Dad told me to bring you."
"But... I'm.."
"It's late. You haven't had anything after lunch. Come let's have some special chinese tea. You'll love it.."
"Hyanji-ah , I...I'll come in few minutes. Ehh... I'd like to watch the sunset a little more."
"Are you sure you'll come?"
"Ofcouse! You go ahead then I'll come."
"Bye then"

Hyanji ran towards the hotel. She waved halfway across the the path. She is very nice to Jina. Jina sealed her eyes on Hyanji until she went in.

As she turned to look back at the sea, a guy who was passing by collapsed on her and Jina fell in to water.

"Aish.. Yah, pabo I mean you you idiot, watch your way. Where do you think you are going?" she yelled in English. To her surprise that guy turned and answered in Korean.

"You don't have to yell in English. You're the one who got yourself hurt."
"What? You.. Can you see my dress all soaked in water. How can I go anywhere looking like this."
He took off his sunglasses & said "Then buy a new one. I don't have time to handle weirdos anyway." He looked at the wrist watch and pulled out his purse.

He grabbed few notes and threw them at Jina. "You can leave me alone now. I'll go in my way. You can go shopping. Bye bye!!"
He waved , wore his sunglasses and turned to go.

Jina was burning up with anger.' How can someone from the same country as me act like that. I thought they helped each other in other countries...' she thought. 'Nevermind. I'll make him understand.'

Jina collected the money which was lying at her feet and she ran after him like temple run.

She pulled his collar from the back and dropped the money in to his shirt with the sand contaminated with them.
"What are you doing?" he yelled and waved his shirt. "Hhh..... Hhhh.. That's what happens to people like you... Hhh.."
