Dan+Shay...The New Obsession?!

So I like all types of music but some more than others. For instance, I LOVE rock, metal rock, classic rock and alternative whereas I only Like country, rap, and pop. And there are a few genres that I have a hard time getting into...like classical, and folk music.

So because I only moderately like country music, my new semi-obsession is surprising and kinda scares me a bit (O.o)

I am in love with Dan+Shay. (^,^)

I honestly I don't know why...I have never been this crazy about a country group. And I didn't realize I was until Mum told me we were going to a music festival called Riverbend and they are playing on Friday night. When she said we could go see them I shouted and jumped a foot and a half off the sofa and almost killed my butt when I nearly landed on the floor. (-__-)

Mad says they have enough time to sing most of their album so I have been listening to it over and over and over again. I know almost all the lyrics now. If you have not heard about them or haven't  listened to their whole album yet you MUST!

It's called Where It All Began and the songs are:

1. Show You Off

2. Stop Drop, + Roll

3. 19 You + Me

4. What You Do To Me

5. Can't Say No

6. First Time Feeling

7. Nothin' Like You

8. Somewhere Only We Know

9. Parking Brake

10. I Heard Goodbye

11. Party Girl

12. Close Your Eyes

And here's a little bit about them: (I found this on Wikipedia)

Dan Smyers (born August 16, 1987) was raised in Wexford, Pennsylvania, where he attended North Allegheny Senior High School. He attended Carnegie Mellon University to study Finance.

James Shay Mooney (born December 27, 1991) was raised in Natural Dam, Arkansas, where he attended Van Buren High School.

Before the duo's foundation, Mooney was a solo artist on T-Pain's Nappy Boy Entertainment label, and Smyers was a member of a group called Bonaventure as well as a previous member of the band Transition on Floodgate Records label.

In December 2011, Mooney began dating singer Veronica Ballestrini. The couple wrote and sang songs together and formed a duo. They posted original and cover songs to YouTube throughout their relationship. The couple broke up in 2013. Mooney is subject to Ballestrini's song "Death of Me" and sings background vocals on it.

The two met in Nashville, Tennessee in December 2012 and started writing the day after they met. The first song they ever wrote together got put on hold for Rascal Flatts. Within two months the duo had multiple publishing offers and signed with Warner/Chappell Music.

On October 14, 2013 the debut single "19 You + Me" was added to country radio. Dan + Shay wrote the song with Danny Orton. The song received a positive review at Taste of Country which praised the "warm details" and "emotion". Their debut album Where It All Began was released on April 1, 2014, which Orton produced with Scott Hendricks. "Show You Off" was released to country radio on May 12, 2014 as the album's second single.

The duo made their Grand Ole Opry debut February 1, 2014. They also received a 2014 Academy of Country Music Awards Vocal Duo of the Year nomination.

Dan + Shay are the opening act for Hunter Hayes on his We're Not Invisible Tour, which began in March 2014. Dan + Shay will open up for Blake Shelton on his Ten Times Crazier Tour 2014. The tour will begin in June 2014.

Yeah so that's them...search them up on YouTube to see some humorous interviews and some awesome songs.

Anyway that's all the fangirling I'm doing.....bye!
