DAKOTA LANCASTER: Dakota Lancaster is the girl who seemed like she had everything. The most expensive car, the biggest house on the block, the trendy and expensive clothes. Seems like the best life, right? She was the head cheerleader with the wittiest comebacks. No one dared to mess with Dakota, everyone knew she wouldn't back down without a fight, and she certainly won't stop until she wins once and for all. People knew Dakota could end your life in a snap of her fingers, but no one truly knew what she was capable of. Everyone knows her as the manipulative, cruel and cold bitch, but that was just her exterior that she told herself that she had to have, but that wasn't who she really was, more as how she was taught to be. Growing up, she had two parents that didn't really care much about their darling Dakota. All they did was work, but Dakota's mother was a person that no one ever wanted to have in their life. Her mother was judgmental, snobby, and just plain cruel. Anything Dakota did, it wasn't ever good enough. You know the scary witch lady that lives next door to the little boy that calls the 'scary old lady'? Well, thats exactly how Mrs. Lancaster was, just a tad younger. Dakota treated people terribly. Putting them down with awful names, shooting them dirty looks. Just a year ago, Dakota met a boy whom she thought was the one for her, until she realized how violent he was. Dakota will always be scarred with that abusive relationship, which causes her distrust in boys and literally everyone else. But afterwards, she meets a guy, Ethan who was always sweet and caring towards her. And of course, he was a football player which made it even better. They were the power couple of the school, until new girl Annalise showed up, starting a disturbance. Two summers ago, Anna had met Ethan at camp, and they hooked up. He was her first, and sadly, they never spoke again. But when she was walking i️n on her first day, she saw Ethan sitting in the front seat of his car as a girl gave him head. Awkward. Even more awkward when she found out he had a girlfriend and who she was. Shortly after, Dakota finds out he cheated on her multiple times and her heart was broken. During the school shooting, she happened to be in the room with the school shooter, whom happened to be bullied by some of her friends. Dakota always saw it happen around him, but she never really realized what was going on. He blamed it on her, and watched one of her very own friends get shot in front of her. Her mindset sort of changes. When her mom decided to push her one day, she ran to the most expensive hotel in Silveridge and the penthouse suite was her's for the rest of high school. Valentines night, all by her lonesome, she sat at the bar, sipping on her champagne when an obviously drunken man started yelling at a cute, dark-colored, sparkly eye bartender, once the man was told he was cut off. Words were exchanged and the bartender sure had some clever words, sparking a conversation between him and Dakota. Dakota never seen him since, and she figured he was avoiding her, so she decided to send a case of Bourbon to his address that she had scoffed out of the hotel manager. Until two days later, Dakota was twirling one of her chocolate brown curls around her finger, when her teacher announced a new student was joining her class, and once she looked up, the mystery bartender caught eyes with her, and ever since then they have this mysterious connection. This bartender is Grayson. Dakota is sixteen in season one, her best friends are Kendall, Mollie, and Annalise. and her face claim is Nina Dobrev.
