I've watch the sun rise with these tired eyes
The expansion of light again radiating through the skies
"New beginning" the girl whispers
"The same routine" the girl thinks
Optimism is the shield many hide behind
Pessimism is the battle many fight blind
How can we live knowing a little too much
How can they live not knowing not enough
Our world is colorful while there's is bleak
Maybe I should just turn the other cheek
I'm not sure if I like this rainbow
Maybe inside I just want to let go
The background girl is who I want to be
The girl not many but some see
She's content with her life her future her past
She's on the screen and off so fast
Did you ever pay attention to her?
Or did she pass you as another blur?
She's quite amazing only some will notice
She's beautiful and unique just like a lotus
