The Perfect Summer

"Well of course! And if I need to I can make more! You all can sit outside where there is more room for everyone to sit and talk!" my mother replied to me. I nodded and walked back outside.

"Okay, so mom said there should be enough for everyone and if not she would make more. And don't try and protest now that she knows you all are hungry nothing is going to stop her." I said smiling at everyone; Ashley just nodded her head in agreement. I motioned for them to come inside.

"Hey mom these are the guys." I pointed to each as I introduced them to her, "This is Cameron, Matt, Carter, Taylor, Nash, Hayes, Aaron, Shawn, Jacob, Jack Gilinsky, Jack Johnson, and Sam Wilkinson." She smiled and hugged each one of them, I was kind of embarrassed, and what can I say my mom's a hugger.

"Well, I'm going to show them out back to where we will be eating." I said interrupting my mom's endless blabbing about random things. Everyone followed me outside, "Sorry about my mom, she can be a little over the top at times." I said slightly embarrassed.

"Nah, its fine, your mom seems pretty neat." Matt said. I just smiled at him. "Okay, sit wherever you like, I'm going to help my mom set everything up and bring things out." I said turning to walk back inside, "Do you need any help?" Cameron and Matt asked at the same time looking at each other like 'Duuuuude that was hella weird!' I just laughed at them.

"Nah, you guys just chill, you're guests." I walked inside to help my mom. As I walked in and closed the door my mom looked at me, "So, do you like one of those guys or something?" my eyes widened "MOM!! Shhhh they could hear you! And that is so not why I invited them over!

I was being nice and I knew you wanted to do something for them, and I thought it would be easier if dad wasn't here." She smiled, but she is going to continue to think there is another reason no matter what I say. I just grabbed everything and headed outside. I sat everything down, "Okay, grab a plate and eat!" I didn't have to tell them twice, I mean they were a bunch of hungry teenage boys. We all sat down with our food, no one was talking everyone was stuffing their faces.

~After Lunch~

"That was absolutely amazing!!" Gilinsky exclaimed while sitting back in his chair obviously satisfied with the amount of food. Everyone looked content.

~About Week Later~

Ashley and I were almost always hanging out with the guys, and I could tell that Ashley had a weakness for Nash, I'm pretty sure it's those hypnotizing blue eyes and I mean his smile was nice too. As for me, I think they're all attractive, but the ones that stand out the most are Cam, and Matt.

They're all so sweet and cute, but I think mine and Matt's personalities fit better. Anyways, today my mom and dad both had to work so it was just Ashley, my brother, and me at the house, "So, Sam I know you like Matt, I mean come on its obvious the way you are around him." Ashley said, my eyes got wide "What do you mean it's obvious? Do any of the guys know?" I started to panic. She just laughed.

"I don't think so but haven't you noticed they tease Matt around you all the time?" thinking back I nodded my head, "Well, I think he likes you." She said like it was no big deal. My brother walked down the stairs.

"Yo Liam! What's being going on? I haven't seen you like at all this trip." Ashley said. Her and my brother have like a brother sister relationship as well, he laughed and hugged her "Well you guys have been spending a lot of time with the neighbors so that why. Anyway I'm going to hang out with Jake, see ya later." He said as he walked out the door. We looked at each other and shrugged, "Wanna invite the guys over?" she shook her head yes and I texted Matt.

~15 minutes later~

They finally showed up and we were hanging out and just talking "So, do you guys wanna play a game?" I asked looking at everyone waiting on an answer from anyone.

"How about 'Truth or Dare'?" Taylor practically yelled. All the guys agreed but Ashley and I looked at each other with not so sure looks. The guys seemed to notice, "Oh come on guys! It won't be that bad we will go easy on ya!" I shook my head not giving in so easily.

I'm not going to be one of those girls that melts once an attractive guy said something to get something to go their way. Right as I was about to speak my mom sticks her head out the door, "Sorry to interrupt but I was just going to tell you that I have to run to the store and your brother is coming with me, I'll be back in a little while and your father has to work over."

I shook my head in acknowledgement. She closed the door and I heard the car start and drive away. "So, how about that game of truth or dare?" Nash said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes; do they seriously think we were going to give in so quickly? He made eye contact with me, and I just smirked back making him realize he wasn't going to win so easily with me.

He then looked over and Ashley I looked at her as well and she cracked so easily, "FINE!" she said. I looked at her shocked, she looked at me disappointed in herself. Now all eyes were on me, I got a little insecure knowing all these attractive guys were staring at me; they could see all my flaws most likely.

I looked at each boy in the eye they all had the same look, they were waiting to see if I would give in. I rolled my eyes and sighed. "FINE!" "YES!!!" they all said but Ashley and I looked not amused. See I don't like playing truth or dare because most of the time you get stuck in an awkward position, or you have to do something out of your comfort zone.

These guys might think I'm confident, and if they do then I'm better than I thought at hiding my insecurities. "Taylor! Truth or dare?" Nash asked him, "Hmmmm, dare." Nash looked as if he was thinking. "Hmm, I dare you to, run around the house singing at the top of your lungs twice." Taylor looked at him like 'Seriously is that the best you got?' Nash just shrugged, and Taylor took off running and started singing Loyal by Chris Brown, I couldn't help it I started laughing.

Taylor finished and sat down they continued playing the game they hadn't called on Ash or I, wait I spoke too soon, "Sam! Truth or dare?" I sighed and rolled my eyes "Ummm, truth." Not really caring that they wanted something else. I laughed at their annoyed looks, but that probably wasn't smart because Nash suddenly smirks mischievously I got a nervous feeling, I have a feeling I'm not going to like where this is going.

"Okay, so is it true that you like one of the guys?" he said with that smirk still plastered on his face. I looked down and sighed 'Well there is no hiding it anymore; at least I didn't have to say who it was.' "Yes." Is all I said, I said it blankly and just sat there waiting on someone to say something, finally Taylor spoke up, "Who is it?" he said rather excited. I just laughed "Now that's not how you play the game, I was only asked to say if it was true that I liked someone, they didn't say I had to tell which one of you." I smirked and got up walked to the kitchen.
