Sarah had been walking for hours, they then stopped at a gas station. Of course, it was empty. In fact, everything was empty. They hadn't seen one kid since leaving their neighborhood. And even that was empty. After taking some food, water, and some things for protection, they continued walking. After walking for some time, they stopped at a park. Leo had fallen asleep on Sarah's shoulder. Emily looked exhausted.

"When are my parents coming back!?" She exclaimed. Sarah sighed. "Emily.. We have to worry about Leo now, we don't have time-" "No! You have to worry about Leo! I don't even know him!" Emily was yelling now. "This isn't fair! All you care about is Leo!" "He's just a baby!" Sarah yelled back. "Well, no-one said we had to take care of him! He's just slowing us down!" Sarah gasped. "Well, what do you suggest we do!? Leave him?!" "Yes! He isn't our responsibility!" Sarah couldn't believe her ears. "Who would take care of him!?" "I'm sure someone would find him." "We haven't seen one person since leaving our neighborhood!" They both were yelling now. "Hey girls!" They both jumped. "Who's there?!" Sarah yelled.

Finally, they saw him, a guy about their age. Emily started over. "Hey! Emily, we don't know this guy. You can't just-" Emily just rolled her eyes and continued walking. "Emily-" Sarah sighed. She walked over to him. "I'm Rob. And you are?" "Emily!" Emily said proudly. "And you are?" Rob said gesturing to Sarah. "She's Sarah," Emily said when Sarah was silent. Rob showed them his town. There were many kids there, all acting like all of this was normal. Sarah soon learned that the 'plague' as they called it, had spread from their neighborhood to her's. But there was no cure. So, the plague spread and killed all who was 18 or over. The kids who remained searched for a cure. But to no avail. Alas, soon the human population was extinct.
