Changgu Bali is a beautiful place. Everyday is a dream. Feeling the sand between my toes and the sun on my back is wonderful. I feel on top of the world and I'm glad I left. I've been gone for 6 months and it feels like years. No ones found me and to be honest I don't think they were looking.
Here I don't need an education. The only thing I need is a book needing to be published and the editors do. I have made a great living here and I truly feel happy and wistful. I don't need them and I don't need Grayson. Grayson is gone and I accept it.

I wake sprawled out like a starfish and hug my arms around me. Through my eyelids I see the sun bleeding through my window. I open my eyes to find the ocean staring right back. I groan and get up knowing I wont be able to sleep through my curtain less window. I don't bother taking a shower since I was planning to surf today. Surfing was a skill I picked up on 4 months ago and I fell in love with it.

There aren't many people out today so I take my time applying wax. Pulling off my shirt made a guy look over and smirk. I have been working out for the past 6 months too, at least someone has noticed. I smile back at him and continue to focus on my board.
I hear sand being swept away and realize someone is standing over me.
" Can I help you?" I say this with a smirk.
" Are you sure you can carry that big board all by yourself?"
I hear the humor lingering in his voice and I pretend to become upset.
" Excuse me? I have been surfing for a solid 4 months!"
" Oh really? I don't believe you." He says this in a matter of fact tone and I pick up my board. I stride towards the water without looking back and walk out till the water is at my hips. I wait for a good one and paddle as hard as I can until I feel the wave under me. I stand and feel the adrenaline pumping through me. I showed him.
I stalk back up the beach with A smirk of "I told you so" on my face.
" Wow you really are a surfer."
"Yep and I believe you now owe me lunch."
" Uh what?"
" That's one of my rules. You have to buy me lunch since I proved you wrong."
" Well where do you want to go?"
Shocked at his reply I tell him there is a really good sandwich shop. We go and eat the best sandwiches in Bali.
" So what's your name surfer girl?"
" I'm Andrea, but most people call me Andie."
" I love that."
" What? My name?"
"Yes. Your name. Very unique."
Oh gosh he reminds me of.....
" Hey you okay?"
" What?" I didn't realize, but my breath picked up and I was digging my nails into my palms. I let go and see crescent marks along my palms.
" Excuse me I have to go. Thank you for lunch."
" Hey!"
I look back to find him staring at me with a look of sympathy.
" I'm Sawyer."
He says nothing more so I leave in a hurry. I hope I get to see him again, but a part of me says to stay away. Maybe I should listen or maybe I should just do what I want. I don't care about Grayson anymore, so maybe I should just go for it. No string attached. No past to tug my mind.
