Chapter 1: One Phone Call Away

Skyler's POV
I woke to an alarm clock. I get up out of my bed seeing Damon still sleeping. I groan and check the time. 5:30am. Time to get Damon ready for work and Lillian ready for school. Now before I start to explain somethings let me remind you. Damon had moved us into an apartment in Florida. I didn't want to live there anymore so we moved next to my mom and my dad  into a little house that they made for us. We were a small family. Damon and I's 7 year anniversary is in two days and I cannot wait. Being married to Damon is like heaven. He treats me like a queen and I love it. I love him. It had been 5 years since we have been to Mystic Falls and life is wonderful. Klaus and Rebekah visit with Elijah to train Lillian how to be a vampire and how to use her witch side and control your vampire side with her human side. Lillian is a beautiful teenager. She has a dark brown hair with one sea green eye and one sky blue eye. Mine and Damon's genes didn't mix right and we got a baby girl with two different eye colors. I hop out if bed and throw on Damon's shirt. I go downstairs and walk into the kitchen. I put down pans in the stove and out eggs and bacon and all that junk on them. I finish cooking them as I felt arms wrap around my waist. "Morning baby" Damon says liaising my neck. "Morning Damon. Food is almost ready." I say kissing him. He nods and sits down. The time read, 6:30am. "LILLIAN WAKE UP! GET READY FOR SCHOOL FOOD ON TABLE.!" I yelled. "GET UP MAMA!" She called back. Damon got ready for work as I threw on some clothes. I put on high waisted shorts with a crop top hoodie with my hair in a messy bun and a pair of white converse. Now I know what you're thinking, what mom would wear this? Well considering I'm still a 'teenager' but a mom my sense of style hasn't changed so yeah. I set the table and made everyone's plate. Damon began eating as Lily came down with her book bag. "Breakfast is on the table" I said washing the dishes. "Kk. I won't be able to eat cause Seth is picking me up for school. Bye daddy, bye momma" Lily said grabbing a banana and walking out the door. "So since tomorrow is our seventh year anniversary, my mom is stealing Lillian for us to have some privacy." I winked. Damon smirked. "Can't wait" he said walking up to me. I smiled as he kissed me good bye before going to work. Time to clean the house.

I was dancing along to my music from my radio while mopping the kitchen. I was singing along to "Believer" by Imagine Dragons when I got a phone call. "Hello" I answered. All I could hear was heavy breathing. "Hello?" I questioned. "Sky?" Asked the voice. I put down the mop shocked. "Stefan?" I gasp. "Sky. Oh how I've missed you and Damon." He says still breathing hard. "What do you want?" I asked. "Oh um. Something bad is happening in Mystic Falls and we need you and Damon here with us." He said. I sigh. I promised myself that we would never go back there with what happened. Stefan and the others don't even know about Lillian. "I'll talk to Damon. What is happening" I asked. "Stuff involving a tomb or whatever and some type of spirit haunts it." Stefan says. "And what does this have to do with us?" I asked. "The spirit is involved with Bonnie somehow. She needs to be freed from it, but she just keeps trying to kill us. " he says. I hear a clash. "YOU'RE DEAD PRETTY BOY! YOU CAN'T HIDE FOREVER!" I hear a voice scream. "Shoot." Stefan said with a whoosh as he ran. "Why is Bonnie trying to kill you guys?" I said as Damon enters the room. I hold up my hand so he doesn't start talking. He looked concerned. "Something happened and now a spirit of some kind is connecting her to a knife or whatever. I got stabbed by it and have a scar. My scar just opened up which means she is coming after me to kill me. " Stefan said as a clash happened and then a bang. "Please" he said. Damon took the phone out of my hand and he began talking to Stefan. "We're coming." Damon said then hung up my phone. "Why did you say yes?" I asked. "Because He is my brother and they are our family. They need our help" Damon said walking towards our room with me following. Family? But we are the family... "What about Lillian? They don't even know she exists! Her entire life could be endangered if we go back there!" I argued. "It's either you come with me or you stay behind. My brother needs me. " Damon said putting his clothes into a bag. "But what about Lillian and I? We're a family. We need you." I said "I'm sorry" he said leaving the room with the bag. I sigh. I promised... no we promised that we would never go back there for the sack of Lillian's life. Now all hell broke loss and Stefan needs Damon. Needs us. Needs us to leave our home. Leave our life we made without drama. Lillian doesn't like change. She wouldn't like this, moving to a place she doesn't know or feel comfortable with. I sigh debating in what I should do. I decide on what's best for us to do. For us as a family. This won't be a family with Lillian's dad and my husband. This won't be a family without Damon. Damon and I can't live without each other. And it's going to stay that way. Damon comes back in and gets suitcases. I grab one packing my clothes and packing Lillian's clothes. Damon is about to shut the trunk of the car until I stop him and out the two suitcases into the back then shut the trunk. He looks at me weird. "Let's go save our family" I say, Damon smiles then walks over to the car. Mystic Falls, here the fuck we come.

I know I said in the last book that this book would began in the end of December not in the end of January. I've just been busy with school, and working on my new account. But I promised a new book and here it is. HOPE YALL ENJOYED THE FIRST CHAPTER!
