Lance Dawson wanted to become a pilot and in order to fulfill that dream, he has no other choice but to leave the small town he has lived all his life. On the day of his graduation in high school, he was leaning on the oak tree when a guy went to him and nervously gave him a letter. He was so taken off guard that when he actually did manage to move and speak, the guy had already left and all that was left was the letter that was in his hands.

Several years later, Lance had graduated atop of his batch and the Johannesburg hired him right after he graduated, thus making him the youngest pilot to ever been hired by said clan.

One night when he was sorting about his things, a letter that was still inside the envelope fell from the book he had lifted. He picked the letter up and remembered the guy who gave him the letter and he contemplated on whether just throwing it away or actually reading it. He chose the latter as he sat down on the edge of his bed and started opening the envelope and then unfolded the paper.

Dear Lance,

You may not know me and I'm very sure you will not, but I have a confession to make,

I Love You.

I have been for quite some time now but I'm too shy to actually talk to you, much less approach you. You are always surrounded by people and at first, I honestly envy you because you have so many friends while I don't. I wanted to hate you so badly, you know? But I can't and I don't even know why. It's as if, hating you brings me pain, so I stopped. I still hate your guts though.

You are too cocky, arrogant, and so conceited, Zeus might actually ran out of shine. But you are also kind, smart, and caring. I may sound like a stalker, but that is what I always hear from people surrounding me. It's all about you and no one else. You are their perfect king and I can see why.

And if you're asking if I'm gay. My answer would be, no. I'm not gay. I had a girlfriend before I moved here but we broke up. When I first noticed my sudden change of feelings toward you, I thought it was only because I was brokenhearted and needed someone to pick up the pieces of me, but it wasn't that...

I first met you when I was being beaten half to death by punks on the street and at that time, I already accepted my fate to die, but you came and saved me. You brought me to the hospital when you needn't to. It was the first time my heart pounded inside my chest that hard and it wasn't from the beating I just had, no. It was from the way you hold me as if you actually did care. I was always a small guy compared to a giant like you. And it was one of the reason why I hated and envied you.

Anyways, I know you might not read this but it's worth a shot. I really, really like you, Lance but I know that my love is one sided, heck, you don't even know me! But always remember that my feelings for you will forever be here and that my heart has already belonged to you, as cheesy as that sounded.

Until we meet again,

- Kai

Lance did not know how to react after reading the letter. His heart started beating fast, he doesn't even know why. He was not gay as long as he remembered, yet why did he feel this way? It's absurd that he just read a letter and he suddenly became like this. Heck, like what the sender said, he doesn't know the guy! So why?

In order to put a stop on his sudden change of feelings, he decided to look for the guy and reject him personally. But the problem is, where will he start looking? It has been five years since he graduated high school and from what he remembered, the guy was a year lower than him so it will be hard.

But he has to start and try something. And so, his resolve was finalized. He will go back to the place he hasn't visited after he moved.
