Later in the day, Adnan sat by his window, with a flute in his hands, and he played it melodiously, and purposely to make noise, that he woke Farida up from her sleep. And yet, he continued even when she yelled to make him stop.

Adnan | Farida

"What are your plans?, To make me go deaf with your dirty flute?"

"No, i just want to say Hey, I'm sorry."

"Really? Well, no. you're not."

"I am."

"You were sleeping?"

"Before you interrupted? Yes I was."

"I don't think I interrup--

"What?"
She cuts in aggressively.

"Yes I did."
He gave up the argument.
And she gave a dashing smile that followed a chuckle

"So are you going to tell me your name?"

"Nah."

"But why?"

"I will, but not yet."

"Wait, What?, I'm your new neighbor for God's sake."

"Yes, but that doesn't change my mind though."

"I just want to be your friend."

"Oh, I thought we are?"

"Are we?"

"I should be asking you."

"This is just boy and a girl who just talks right."

"I mean. I am always home, and it's boring.. and you're always here, looks like you're the only one i can get to talk to everyday."

"Hm, really? So why don't you go outside and play with your friends? Maybe catch some fun. do anything you like though."
"I can't."

"Why? Your legs are broken?"
She teased him.

"Hahaha you're so goofy."

"You know. I wouldn't know."

"Yes, but it's because I'm not allowed to go outside."

"Seriously?"
She disagreed.

"Yes."

"So why?"

"Before we moved in here, i threw a house party with my friends while my parents were out on a visit to abroad and so we damaged couple of things including my dad's favorite car."

"Uhmm.. yours is bad ..guess mine is better."

"If i was your dad i'll kick your ass before anything."

"Thank God you're not, By the way are you also on house arrest?"

"No don't call it house arrest, I'm just banned from going outside!"

"Alright.. Alright, sorry ..but it's still the same thing though."

"So what did you do?"

"My performance in school was poor."

"Yeah me too."

"So I'm asked to stay home and read all day while my aunt is watching me."

"How long?"

"The whole holiday."

"Wow me too."

"Uhmm coincidence."

"I guess."

"I'mma go take a nap."

"You mean now?"

"Yeah, bye."

"Wha- what, again?"
He asked, in amazement.

"Yeah, why?"

"Thought i just woke you up!"

"You did? Well I'm still sleepy."
She chuckled.

"Mmm, bye bye."

"Miss me okay?"
She teased and left.

She leaves the window.
