Part 1:Becca

Stephanie ,my best friend and I had decided that it was finally time I talked to Shane,Shane Andersen. I had had a crush on him since the first day I saw him but it wasn't his looks that got to me ,it was the way he interacted.

I first saw him on General P.T.A day ,freshman year, his mom and sister came for him and he didn't hide that he was happy to see them. His sister ran from the car park all the way to him in the hallways and hugged his thigh ,he seemed embarrassed but not for long as his mom came not too far behind her and ruffled his hair . The bright red in his cheeks turned a different shade and I,Becca Hayley saw beauty, not in his perfect hair or smile but in him,In the way he smiled at them,in the way his mom hugged him ,in the way his sister's left incisor or lack of it showed when she smiled ,in all of it and from that day I fell in love with it.

I suddenly realized I had been staring at his picture at the corner of the shower mirror instead of brushing my teeth. I quickly brushed my teeth and took a shower,I had a decent draft of my day and lateness to school was not part of it , it was also not allowed and if I wanted to get ready I had to get Jessica,my elder sister ready too.

I was out of the shower in no time ,next challenge of the day would usually be picking what to wear which wouldn't be a challenge today because Stephanie and I had also discussed clothing and we settled for simple, I picked a pair of dark blue jeans black tank top , white jacket and black sneakers.

Next, Jessica's room.
I opened her door and she wasn't there,last thing I needed was for her to be flirting with Mr anonymous at the gym.
"I'm downstairs"Jessica called out."heard your conversation with Stephanie last night  " .
"What did you hear " I asked hopeful she didn't know about stephan.
"Everything" she said in between smirks "Come on,eat fast ,you can't afford to be late ".

We were almost at school but I couldn't help but feel like I was stuck in the car for all eternity. So she did know about Shane did she have to rub her leverage over me in my face. For the fifth time in our short car ride jess had offered to be the baby's godmother. Hell no.The only reason I wasn't angry was cause she wasn't trying to be annoying, for Jessica, it was as natural platinum blonde hair on her head.

Finally ,the dreaded car ride was over and as the car stopped I practically jumped out murmuring an audible goodbye and without waiting for a reply I 'speedwalked ' into the school building. When I got to my locker ,Stephanie was already there ,she just pointed to her watch and gave me a disapproving look .
"Look,I'm sorry",I said giving her a serious look."I'm just like a minute late".
"Twenty seconds",She said .
"Has he already come to school"
"Thirty seconds ago"
"We need to up our game "
"You need to up your game, first term's almost over"
"Yes,I remember" I sighed ,it wasn't the first time she reminded me of this.
"I'm sorry"She sighed " Mom and Dad started fighting again"
"I'm sorry"
"It's just so frustrating"She hung her head and smiled"nice shirt"
"Thanks"
And with that the bell rang indicating time for class. We exchanged 'byes and headed in different directions for our first classes of the day.

I had English with Shane first period and today I decided to exchange seats with the girl beside him. It wasn't like Shane was a shallow douchebag ,he talked to people sometimes and the girl sitting beside him was one of them.
"Hi ,Emma, would you like to exchange seats"
Hi b ,just today " she asked raising one eyebrow.
"Nope" I piped.
   She looked visibly uncomfortable right now.
"Look, you could say 'no'"
"Fine"
"Really"
"Yeah, I like you ,Becca,you helped me freshman year,remember"
NO.
"Yeah,I do"
Mr.Mandir walked into the class and we all rushed into our seats . I sat down and glanced at Shane.
"Hi" I whispered.
He glanced back at me.
"Hi,becca"
"You know my name?"
"Everyone does"
    We talked, and then I turned around to face the class teacher but I just couldn't pay attention.
