Heyy, this is my very first story group!
I plan to update more. :D
Chapter 1: First Day sequel
My life is good, I can't complain. Other people would have, but I was told that I was different. That kind of person who has very little but appreciates it. What could have made my life so difficult to live through? Well it's rather a long story; I don't want to start crying again. Long story short, my parents died. They were the only family I had, aside from my grandmother.
I'm going to live with her now, in Vancouver, Canada. I lived in Williston, North Dakota. I was happy there, that was my home. I was remembering my beautiful suburb house while I was in the car with my grandmother, on the way to her house and now mine as well.
"How was your day so far Sam?" Sarah said glancing my way.
I jumped at the sound of her voice, she didn't notice.
"Good, the plan ride was great." She sent me to first class, it was fantastic.
I wasn't a very talkative person, Sarah was the opposite. She kept on talking while I kept on listening. She was very active for her age. We got to 'our' house then. She obviously moved since my last visit. I entered the guest room which really didn't look like one anymore. It had all my furniture in it; the room was bigger than my old room, so it looked kind of empty. I would have to buy something big to fill out the room....
"How do you like it? Opps sorry!" Sarah said from behind me, frightening me to death.
"Jesus Sarah! A little warning next time?" I said suppressing a laugh. She doesn't like to be called 'Grandmother', that word is horrifying to her.
"Wow, you're immensely paranoid." She said lightly; laughing.
I smiled, sticking out my tongue like a small child.
She laughed and said "I'll set up dinner, what would you like?"
"Anything, you know I don't mind. Do you need any help?"
"Nope, I got it."
Typical, she hates having a helping hand. I started unpacking, trying to get a lot of things out of my mind. It didn't do any good though. Tomorrow I start school in Bodwell High School, my sophomore year. I suppose I'm excited about it, and I can't explain why.
Sarah and I ate dinner, gushing over my last visit. After dinner, she said that she had a surprise for me. I was expecting an ipod, or something electronic, being Sarah she would give me something expensive. I always hated when she did that. But I was not expecting this, this horrifying gift she had given me. It was a car! But not just any car, no! It had to be a Mercedes! And silky black.
I turned to give her a loving hug, so she won't see the expression on my face. I composed my face till I was smiling hugely
"You don't like it"
Crap, I hadn't fooled her. It wasn't that I didn't like it, I loved it, I mean who wouldn't? It was the money spent on me that I didn't like.
"No! Its not that, I love it."
She could see that I wasn't lying.
"Then what is it then?"
"The money Sarah, how the hell are you going to pay your bills now?"
She laughed, as if financial money was a joke.
"Oh dear, you are so funny... I just had a coupe of thousands lying around in the bank, I didn't need it... scouts honor."
