Immortal Me

Far away in a distant city

Lives a soul, the mortal me;

With determination to achieve in life.

Arousing the successful person inside,

I work hard to reach that goal;

A goal set so that I can control,

Make everyone around me proud,

Give them the happiness that they never found.

Someone asked me "What's the point?

You're a mortal, won't live after you relinquish life"

I told him that I laugh and cry,

Yes, I'm a mortal with a deep insight

I can die with the name I make;

Will have nothing along to take,

But I promise, when I die

I'll be on every paper's headline

People might not remember me

But they will remember my work,

The Immortal part of me.
