They say knowledge is power
That if you work hard you will prosper
That through these things happiness comes within the hour
But they don't realize that some things aren't forever
Everyone grows through making lackadaisical mistakes
However sometimes they may cost you dearly
And it will be too late to slam on life's brakes
Life doesn't care if you're behind or ahead—honestly
Before you can ordain yourself as "wise"
You must know that the world will always be cruel
That sometimes there is no hard-earned prize
Because everyone—everywhere—started off as a broken fool
