"Harry! Harper! Get up! Now!" Aunt Petunia shouted outside of their bedroom doors.

Lily sat up quickly. She did not want to have Aunt Petunia wait for her. She quickly got dressed and made her way down the stairs. It was her cousin Dudley's birthday today, which meant only one thing.

"It took you long enough, Harper. Finish making breakfast for Dudley and Vernon. After we eat, we are taking Dudley to the zoo. You and Harry will be heading over to Mrs. Figgs for the day," Aunt Petunia said as she walked over to the table to hug Dudley.

I wish she would just call me Lily. I hate being called Harper- Lily's thought was interrupted by Uncle Vernon.

"Petunia, Mrs. Figgs has fallen down and broke her foot. They will need another place to go," he said looking at Lily.

"Could your sister?" Petunia asked while Lily served Vernon and Dudley their breakfast.

"She is on vacation... I think they will have to come with us," Vernon said with disgust just as Harry made his way into the kitchen.

Dudley started crying in his chair, while eating his breakfast. Complaining about Harry and Lily coming with them to the zoo. Harry, seemed unphased by Dudley's reaction while Lily watched him. She did not want to spend the whole day with a big crying baby. She hated Dudley with every bone in her body. He got everything he wanted, he was a spoiled rotten child.

"Lily, do you want to start on the dishes? I will start cleaning off the table," Harry said to Lily with a bright smile. Harry was always so kind to Lily. They were both mistreated by their aunt, uncle and cousin, but Lily always got the worst of it from Aunt Petunia. She hated Lily, because she looked so much like Lily's mother (Petunia's sister).

"Sure. Be careful around Dudley, he might eat your arm off," she and Harry both giggled at her comment.

Half an hour later Lily and Harry were sitting in the back of Uncle Vernon's car with Dudley, on their way to the zoo. Dudley being the large boy he was kept hitting Lily with his fat elbows.

"Dudley, would you mind moving over a little bit. I am getting crushed," Lily said with her sweetest voice possible.

"MUM! HARPER IS BEING MEAN TO ME. ON MY BIRTHDAY!" Dudley screamed at his mother.

"Harper! It is Dudley's birthday! You should be on your best behavior. Any step out of line and you will not get any meals for a week!" Aunt Petunia said angrily to Lily. The rest of the car ride to the zoo, she was quiet.

Later that night when they got back home, after Harry apparently was the reason a glass broke while Dudley's fat body was leaning against it. Harry was sent to his room while Lily was to help set the table for dinner.

"Harper, go get the mail," Uncle Vernon told me. Lily went to grab the mail and started looking through it. She noticed an odd-looking letter in the pile, it was addressed to Lily and Harry Potter. She stared at it in awe as she went back into the kitchen to give Uncle Vernon the rest of the mail.

Dudley noticed immediately that Lily was holding a letter of my own. He quickly snatched the letter from her hands holding it above his head.

"Daddy! Harper's got a letter!" he handed it back to Uncle Vernon. He looked at it carefully and turned it over, to see it is from Hogwarts.

"OUT! Dudley and Harper out!" he screamed at us as he pushed us out of the kitchen and closing the kitchen door. Lily quickly ran upstairs to tell Harry what just happened.

"Harry! Harry!" Lily knocked on his door, 'We got a letter!" Harry swung his door open and looked at her with bright eyes.

"A letter to us? We have never gotten a letter before. Where is it?" he said looking at her empty hands.

"Uncle Vernon took it away then told Dudley and I to get out of the kitchen," she told him. With that they both ran down the stairs to the kitchen door to try to listen. They had no luck, Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon were being very quiet.

The next day, when the mail came there was not one, but three letters addressed to Harry and Lily. Uncle Vernon got ahold of the letters before either of them had a chance to touch them. He burned them quickly in the fireplace. That continued every single day until it was finally Sunday, a day when the mail does not come.

Petunia, Vernon and Dudley were sitting in the living room while Harry and Lily were cleaning the dinning room. We were both deeply disappointed that all those letters came for them this week and they didn't even get to touch any of them.

Suddenly there was a loud noise coming from the fireplace. Harry and Lily run into the living room to see what is going on. Letters start pouring from the fireplace, all addressed to Harry and Lily. They both try to grab for them, but uncle Vernon is too quick and grabs both of their hands.

"They are our letters! Let us have them" Harry said loudly, trying to get his hands out of his grasp.

"That's it! We are leaving the house! Everyone to the car!" Uncle Vernon said as he started dragging them to the door.

After a very long car and boat ride, they were all in a small rundown cabin. Petunia and Vernon were sleeping in a bedroom, Dudley was on the only couch and Lily and Harry were left on the cold floor. They were both awake, in just a few minutes it will be midnight. July 31st, their 11th birthday. They were the only two who ever remembered their birthday. That did not matter to them.

"Only a few more minutes, Harry," Lily said smiling at him.

"I am glad we get to spend our birthday together. Without you, I would be very alone in their house," he said as he hugged her.

BEEP BEEP BEEP. The sound if Dudley's watch signaling that it is midnight. Lily and Harry exchanged Happy Birthdays to each other. Every single year its always the same, they didn't get any presents. Except last year Harry scraped up a few dollars to buy Lily a necklace from the dollar shop. She wore the necklace every single day, it meant the world to her.

There was a loud crash from outside the door. Lily and Harry quickly sat up and stared at the door. Dudley was also awoken by the sound. There was another loud crash then the door was thrown off its hinges. Uncle Vernon came sliding down the stairs, he was holding a rifle.

A giant of a man was standing in the doorway. His face was almost hidden by his giant beard. He squeezed his way into the door, he then picked up the door and placed it back into its spot. He turned to all of them.

"An' here's Harry and Harper," the giant said.

Harry and Lily has no idea that their whole world be turned around from that moment forward.
