Leave us to roam these great streets of London Town
All around this city is anew for my friend and me.
We stare at steam carry itself
from tainted trains.
Steam flutters from the corner of every block
high and accompanies the stars above.
We continue to walk,
passing two strangers on this grateful road.
This path that we walk, spoken times ago of good fortunes
and histories hidden under quiet cobblestones.
Where will this way take us next with so few
hours left of the night?
This trip could be our last
so we dance along the sidewalks and sideways
prance among these strangers again.
Perhaps they were us,
No names were exchanged however.
So we each went our separate ways.
By morning's beginning, and night's flighty end,
all around, in this London Town, is a view that once
was made anew for my friend and me.
