Red Riding Hood

Introduction

Mom is going to be mad,really mad. I had went to do some archary instead of going to fetch some apples for her to make an apple pie for dinner tonight. When I got home mom's eyes were filled with fury. It ment no supper tonight. I was so hungrey, well this is my punishment and I deserve it. I sat in my room regreting what I did and then the door opened and it was my mom.
"Can I come in" I nodded and she came in with a plate in her hand.
"Here's your dinner"
I looked at her,grabbed the plate and gobbled the food she prepared.
"Your grandma sent me a letter yesterday. Saying how much she misses you."
"Mom what do you want"
"What do you mean?"
"Grandma Matey doesn't even like me, and I don't like her, which means your sending me for your own reasons, so what do you want?"
She stared into my eyes while I looked into her green ones.
"I'm letting Grandma arrange your marriage"
"What!" I shouted
"Look your eighteen and its about time that you have someone to take care of you"
"I can take care of myself"
"Honey, you don't understand, please just do this for me. I'm only doing this for your own good. I'll be sending you tomorrow"
She left me alone in my room,eating my dinner.

Me and my mom have been on our own for fifteen years now. My dad was a good man or so peple say. They say I got his red hair and yellowish eyes and people said I looked like my mom. He died and me and my mom have been taking care of each other ever since. I soon fell asleep in my soft bed.

The morning greeted me with bright sunlight, with its rays running through my window, the sound of birds chirping and the smells of fresh country air and breakfast. Breakfast. I might be beautiful like an angel but I eat like a pig. I rushed out of bed into the kitchen and saw mom preparing eggs. I sat around the small table we had and waited for breakfast.
"Good morning to you too"she said as she handed me breakfast which was eggs and bread with butter but I just looked at her and ate.
"Look,you know I'm doing this for your own good. You can't stay mad at me forever" I stared into get eyes for a split second and then continued eating "So, start packing,your uncle Sam will take you there, he'll pick you up by midday." She kissed me in my head and left. I went to pack some clothes in a small bag. I got dressed and went into town to say goodbye to my friends, Ezekiel, Ann and Jessie. I saw all of them at a food stand and I headed over to them,
"Hey Anne"said Ezekiel
"Hey guys"
"Hey were going to shoot some arrows later, wanna come?"asked Ann
"Uh, I can't come with you guys" I said
"Why not?"Jessie asked
"Um,I'm going to grandma's. I'm getting engaged"
"Congratulations" Ezekiel said, I tried my best to look really happy.
"Thanks"It looks like it was no use, Ann and Jessise saw right through me
"Something tells me that you are not happy about it" Ann said
"Look I'm doing this for my mom"
"So what its your choice of whom you want to marry" said Jessie.
"Just as I thought,you guys wouldn't understand" and with that I left. They wouldn't understand, they couldn't. It was soon noon and my uncle Sam came on time just as expected. He was a man with red hair and green eyes. He was bulk in build and had no sense of fashion. He came with two of his horses, Chocolate and Berry. Chocolate was named because of his dark-brown coat and Berry is because of his appetite of eating berries. I got my bag and went outside where my mom and uncle Sam were waiting on me. My mom hugged me one last time and kisses me on my forehead,
"Have a safe journey"
"I'm gonna miss you mom" a few tears escaped from my eyes.
"I goonna miss you too"
I got on Berry and me and Uncle Sam rode of leaving mom standing in front of our log cabin.
