"You know maybe High School would actually be okay if everything went as planned." I said to no one in particular. What can I say? Mr.Grossman is 1 hour late and I don't like waiting, waiting makes me cranky.

"Wouldn't having to take less notes make it even more okay?" Ally suggested, who for the last 30 minutes had stared at the floor next to me silently.

"Maybe if they actually explained what they wrote it would be more easier," I said. 'Make sure to study for the upcoming test so you don't fail' I said in a funny voice.

"Maybe we shouldn't study because we just study things that don't make any sense," Ally said without looking up.

"Maybe we should just 'practice more'" I said in mocking tone. I picked up my phone and started looking through it.

Ally had stopped talking and was now silent once more.

After school I walked home. I didn't like taking the bus, the people there were always too noisy.

When I went inside my mom opened the door and greeted me with her beautiful big smile like always.

"Did you have a good day today, sweetie?" she asked.

"It was an okay day," I said closing the door.

"Why what happened?" Mom asked she looked worried. "Did you get hurt?"

"No mom, Mr.Grossman was a few hours late again," I said as I sat down on a kitchen chair.

"Again?" She looked at him in disbelief. "I have to talk to the school."

"Yeah, maybe you should." I said. "I most definitely will," she said.

Me and mom chatted for a little longer and then I went upstairs to my room,

My room wasn't that special. It had blank white walls and a twin bed. Even my bedsheets and pillow were white.

I plopped on bed and stayed their motionless for sometime. I was tired and I didn't want to take a bath. I didn't have to take a bath anyway since I took a bath before school.

I was only a little sweaty but it was fine. I reached for the AC remote that was on my dresser and turned on the AC.

The cool air was refreshing after a long day in school. While I was enjoying the cool air I just happened to look at the calendar.

It was Friday February 2, 2018. I was happy that it was a Friday it meant that I could relax and not worry about homework for a while.

I wanted to chew some chewing gum so I opened the first drawer of my dresser and looked for gum.

Instead of nice orange 🍊flavoured gum I found a silver envelope.

I remembered I was checking through my mail last Monday and I saw the silver envelope.

Since I was to lazy to open it I put in my dresser drawer and was going to read it 'later'.

I decided I would open the envelope now so I don't forget about it. I opened the flap and there was a white paper inside.

I took out the paper and began reading.

DEAR KAI SUMMERS,
YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO -

Before I could finish reading I dropped the envelope. Even before I finished reading the whole thing I already knew what it was about.

I don't know if I should be happy or not. I wonder what Mom and Dad will think.

Right now I to shocked to do or say anything.
