Chapter three: A Friends Wedding

I woke up feeling fresh as a daisy, having that day off to really think about things really helped and felt confident knowing that I'm going to tell Eddie that I want to start dating her, Iv just gotta find the right time to tell her.

Sat in the car half way through our tour, Eddie eat her usual stake sandwich and me eating cheese salad, we share the chips but I let Eddie have most of them.

I turned to face her trying to keep a strait face and not smirk bout her shoving food in to her mouth.

I cleared my throat "hey can we talk?" She looked up at me "yeah but let me go first" I nodded letting her talk first.

"You're right this, what ever this is" she's said pointing her finger from me to her "isn't going to work and we should keep it professional"

I felt my heart sunk, I had this sicky feeling inside me but I managed to say "ok"
"Now what did you want to talk about?" She asked taking another bite out of her sandwich.

"Nothing really it can wait" I chocked our trying not to show my feelings

"No go on" she said looking at me, I panicked what was I going to say to her now?
"It's just an old buddie of mine is getting married next week and my plus one couldn't make it and I was just wondering if you'd like to be my plus one, as friends.. I quickly finished"

"Sure as friends why the hell not, I deserve a night out" she finally reply's

A day before the wedding and I was waiting in Eddies apartment
"Come on Eddie, you've been in there forty minutes. You no the actual wedding  isn't till tomorrow" Maybe you'll be ready by then I laughed to my self.

"I'm just getting dressed Reagan" she shouted from the bathroom.
" need any help?" I joked-ish

"Ahah! I'm fine thanks" she said finally opening the door "so what you think?"

I looked at her up and down all I could think of was WOW.
"I think the bride should watch out because your gonna our shine her"

"You don't scrub up to bad yourself" she said coming closer to straiten my tie, I noticed that she looked at me then glanced away as soon as she knew I was looking at her, it was almost as in she was avoiding eye contact with me.

"So..." I coughed clearing my throat "just this case here then?" I pointed to the case that was on the table moving away from her before I did something I'd retreat.

"Yea" she said nodding. I grabbed the case of the table and made my way to the door.

Four and half hour drive.. easy we do it every day, how awkward could it get? I thought to my self not wanting to find out the answer.

Turns out it wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be sure, we hardly talked but it wasn't a weird silence.

I made a mixed cd for the car with a mix of Eddies and myself favorite songs.. which was similar in all honesty.

So we listened to the tape and Eddie sang along.. till one song come on and I gulped harshly.

" 🎵 And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take, When people run in circles it's a very very, Mad world, mad world... 🎵"

"Sorry" I say lifting my hand to switch it over
"No..." Eddie mumbles "this is the song that was playing the first day we rode together"

"I know, I totally forgot I put this on the cd"
Truth was I didn't forget but I feel like I can relate to the lyrics in the song.
