chapter 1

A/N: cause I like messing with your guys sleep schedule here's an update ^_^                                                        Amber P.O.V. 48 hrs. earlier

*sigh* Where are they? I wondered as I ran around the house looking for my two annoying brothers. I swear if they left me again they're not going to get to hear the end of it. Suddenly Kaleb's voice snapped me out of my thoughts as he yelled at me from downstairs. (A/N: Amber's dialogue is going to be the ones in italics)

"HELLO, EARTH TO AMBER!" Kaleb shouted

"huh? Oh sorry i was just thinking"

"Well stop thinking and get your butt down here or get left... AGAIN! But hey its your choice." he said as he ran out the door.

"Dont you dare leave without me or I swear ill make you regret it!"  I yell as i grab my backpack and all but sprint out the front door and down the driveway. i mange to jump in the back seat of the jeep as Reuben backs out.

"Make one dint or even leave a scratch on my baby and you'll be the one paying to get it fixed." he growls as i fix myself and sit up in the seat.

"Geez guys why do we have to leave so early, school doesn't start for at least another hour, i could still be sleeping right now."  i whined

"Well both of us have to retake that test we both failed thanks to this idiot right here. also quit your whining you'll understand when you're our age." he lectured, clearly annoyed

 "For your information I'm only a year younger than the two of you but twice as smart." i sass back with a proud smirk

Kaleb spins around in the passenger seat to glare at me, "Keep up the attitude and youll be finding your own ride home."

 "What I'm only stating the CLEAR facts."  i say innocently

"OK that's it your finding your own ride home then." he says

" WAIT YOU WEREN'T KIDDING?"  i ask shocked

"What do you think Sherlock, you said you were smarter than both of us so you figure it out." he says way too calm for my liking

-time skip to lunch-

I'm on my way to lunch with jade, who happens to be my best friend in the entire world, after a good hour lecture from the history teacher Mr. Washington, I know what a coincidence right, over all of the things that America has done wrong that apparently turned the society to trash. Just please tell me I'm not the only one who absolutely hates American history with a passion. World history im fine with because it not the same boring facts teachers have been drilling into our minds since first grade.

" So please tell me im not the only one who started dozing off during Mr. W's lecture was I?"  i ask Jade while stuffing my face with a half edible chicken sandwich. sadly Jade isnt paying attention and is just staring off into space.  "Hey Jade you in there?"  I ask as I throw a fry at her.

"Huh oh yea haha sorry and hon dont worry you had half the class out with you when he started it, that includes me. and sorry for getting lost in thought again its just I cant stop thinking about some I NEED YOU MV theory I read earlier ." one thing about Jade is that shes the kind of fan to be up all night analyzing the music videos and picking out all the little details just to come to school the next day and rant about it to anyone who is willing to listen, and that person at the moment happens to be me as im stuffing my face with so much food itd make Jin proud. however this time is a bit different because what she is rambling on and on about is starting to click and make a bit of sense and its even got me wondering about some things.

"... but i still dont know why J-Hope took all those pills and tried to commit suicide through overdose or why Tae killed his dad or whoever that man was, i mean i get why he did it but hwat finally caused him to snap and when he was covered in blood in that alleyway who in this world did he call and did they even pick up?..." i ended up spacing out beginning to think about what my brother had said earlier in the car -flashback- OK that's it your finding your own ride home then. -flashback end- and i should probably ask her if she can give me a ride home after school today.

"Yah, you done with your ranting yet, i have a question." i state

"No but since you interrupted what do you want?" she asked/said annoyed

"Sorry, but i was wondering if i could get a ride home? My brothers are leaving right after school to "punish" me for mouthing off to them." i ask

"Wow that must have been fun, and yeah dont worry i can defiantly take you home." she said smiling

"Oh my goodness thank you. You my friend are a life saver."  laugh

"Yeah yeah, no problem but youre going to have to run an errand with me if thats ok." she asks

"Well duh its fine you are taking me home anyway so its the least i can do. ill meet you at your locker right?" i smile

"Yup and hurry well need to get out of here ASAP ok."

"Ok see you then." I say as i walk to my next class

-time skip (cause most of us have enough school during the day)-

I really think that time hates me. All i want to do is chill in some really fuzzy pajamas and curl up to watch the live stream of the BTS concert.  FYI BTS are here in my town but of course guess who's broke and couldnt afford a ticket... this girl. The last five minutes seem to go on for hours as they tick and tick and tick. Finally, the bell rings letting me know that im free from this horrid place. I follow the flood of students out into the corridor and to my locker praying that i dont miss my ride with Jade. I slam my locker scaring the girl beside me, i utter a quick sorry and then take off avoiding the traffic of the hallway and literally run to Jade's locker.

"Ready...to...go...?"  i ask out of breath

"Wow thats the fastest i think youve ever gotten here and yes im ready so lets go." she says as she picks up her bag and starts down the hallway.

We head to her adorable little teal blue Honda civic. If theres one thing i hate more than a boring class its attempting to get out of the school parking lot after school is let out. finally we are free and head downtown to the post office. we live in condos so we dont have mailboxes like others do. she pulls out a small envelope out of her "mailbox".

"Ok now Amber close your eyes and put of your hands for me please." she asks

Since she asked nicely i comply, but i quickly start questioning things.

"Ok... but like seriously whats going on, you never give me anything like ever."

"Well its your birthday in a couple of days and i wanted to give you your gift a bit early. also that something in your hands is the gift."

"Ok... so can i open my eyes now?"  i ask. i feel the thing in my hand and its rough around the edges and small and rectangular. just as i was about to open my eyes the "early birthday gift" was ripped from my grip.

"Nope not yet, youll figure it out in about three hours so go get dressed in something comfy but cute and a bit flashy but not to comfy cause i know how you are. and time starts now good luck ill be back in three hours to pick you up"

A/N  I really like to leave you guys on cliff hangers and stuff. anyway youll figure out what it is amber got in the next chapter. Also if you have any ideas on how i can improve my writting leave it in the comments below. Love my readers and Author-nim Out
