The wind howled outside shaking the orange and red trees from their branches. Great, just more chores to add on to the already over worked omega sending a chill through his spine at the thought of raking the leaves in this cold.
His Olive green eyes glossed over in thought. He was to clean this room before heading down to the basement, aka the omega quarters, to do copious amounts of the higher ups laundry.
Humming to himself he continued to dust the shelves decorating the spare entertainment room.
Picking up a glass figure of a pup next to its large also glass family he stared at it, wondering what it would be like to have a family of his own.
He hurriedly put the figure away and continued cleaning. He still had to finish the beta family's laundry before the end of the night or else he would be denied dinner for lack of 'earning it'.
The young were didn't mind the extreme amount of chores really though, anything to stay away from the other weres in his pack. Though he was tired and sore any amount of chores was better than being around the loud abusive jerks he called pack mates. The main reason however he took over laundry duty was to be as far away from Mrs. Winno as he physically could.
Mrs Winno was the stand in arranged Luna until the Alpha could find his mate. She's a cruel heartless women focused only on her goals of helping her (much smaller) pack stay afloat by marrying into the worlds second largest pack territory.
While that itself is quite admirable, it was the way she treated others around her that made her insufferable. She would beat omegas for the slightest faults even when it wasn't their fault. But she especially loved to pick on Olive.
The poor omega never even looked in her direction before she chose him as her target for her school yard bullying and out right abuse. Wether it was the fact that olive was one of the only single omegas at the time of her marriage and supposedly a "threat" to her or that he was just the first omega she saw when she moved into the pack house olive didn't know.  All he knew was that she had a morbid obsession with the green eyed wolf, one that made his life quite miserable.
The alpha however, 25 year old Charles Winno, was much kinder to Olive, going as far as giving him compliments on his work when he saw Olive in the halls. It truly only made Mrs Winno hate him more but the feeling of being appreciated was worth the abuse.
A small tug at the omegas shirt brought his attention to the 5 year old child at his feet.
"Oh Kaylor honey what are you doing in here? Shouldn't you be with Lilly or playing with the other pups?" Olive told the pup with a smile while lifting him onto his hip.
Kaylor was an interesting little thing. An omega pup abandoned and found beaten on the edge of their pack territory. Now selectively mute and pretty antisocial besides his love for Olive and Lilly.
Olive was the one who found the child in the forest at the brink of death, and being the sweet thing he is olive took him in and raised him with Lilly, an older omega who took Olive in and raised him when he was found on the streets at 3 years old in his were form fighting raccoons for food in an ally way after his rouge parents passed away.
Kaylor didn't respond to Olive besides laying his head onto Olives shoulder and giving him a hug, sniffling slightly.
Olive knew this meant the other pups were bullying him again, most likely any wolves besides the omegas as always.
Kissing the cute little pup on the head, Olive set him on the ground and grabbed his hand.
"Come on baby, let's go find Lilly together, I was just about done cleaning anyway."
