"Sehun and I kind of made a pact."
I quickly looked at him yet he avoided my gaze and continued walking us back our way home. Sehun and him have one? What could it be? Sehun didn't tell me about it. I didn't know that he's been keeping secrets, about the Park family and this pact.
"Wh-What is it?" I asked and I couldn't help not to inhale his manly scent when I buried my face on his chest, finding warmth.
"I told Sehun to watch you first until I finish while I was in a mission." He said. It was already sunset and we're nearing the borderline of the town. My eyes were glued at him with full of curiosity and face full of confusion.
"B-But we've never met before."
I quickly got anxious when we walked inside the town. Even though it's getting dark, the road towards Chanyeol's house was still full of traders and couples. I was looking at him all the time trying to ignore the eyes coming from around us. Yet what he told me kept bugging my mind and he's still not saying something. I was getting irritated as we near the house.
I felt him pushed the gate with his back and continued entering his house.
"Why aren't you talking to me? You're making me nervous."
As the house's front door opened with a creaked, Chanyeol headed first to the couch and placed me nicely on it. I looked at him worried. He's talking about Sehun and him having a pact to each other. To watch me until he's finish? I never met him ever since just the night I resurrected him. He only stood up in front of me as I looked up at him.
"Chanyeol... Say something." I retorted and he only sighed. He sat beside me and he fixed his eyes with mine. Again, I was captivated of how pure he's eyes were. How it gently drowns me in every time I looked at them.
"I was the one who was assigned to guard you. But my father asked for my help to escort him to my house because he's going to do something here. I could never reject my father that's why I asked help from Sehun to guard you when we have that relatively dinner with the Oh's. I already saw you a week before the dinner. I've been observing you since I got the mission to protect you and decided to introduce myself after my father's request which I regretted because I died without you knowing me."
Why Sehun didn't tell me about this? He actually lied to me for not telling me all behind the scenes. I audibly gulped and twitched when Chanyeol reached for my hand and started caressing it. My heart wasn't stable. It was not because of Chanyeol's gestures but the thought of Chanyeol should be in Sehun's place. I wasn't regretting meeting Sehun but I regret not meeting the most caring person I have ever met. What if I successfully poured my formula to Sehun's tomb? Then the chances of meeting Chanyeol were zero. After knowing that Sehun lied to me, it's like I was in joy that I still met Chanyeol from a different circumstances.
"I, I didn't know about that Chanyeol..." My voice trailed off. My voice broke and my eyes started swelling as teardrops fell in sequence on my cheeks. I didn't know why I was crying. It might be that Sehun lied and kept a secret or the fear of what if I didn't accidentally poured my formula on Chanyeol's tomb.
I cried louder when he pulled me into a hug. His hands crept their way around my back while he rained my face with small kisses. It was a very strange way to calm me. But I also found myself weird because I giggled against him as I sniffed and hiccupped.
"It doesn't matter now beagle. What matter is that I'm here now to protect you and live with you. That's for sure." He said and peeled me off from him. I was about to wiped some tears away but he did it first before I could with his long fingers.
