What Is Love?

❣ Chapter 1 ❣

We finish are last note in the fight song. Mrs. Grove moves her right hand up, like shes pushing something up. All the band members stand up. I rest my clarinet in my arm. The kindergartens-5th Graders applaud. I smile. I grab my band folder and the stand. I slide the stand on the the stand cart. I walk over to my case. I run into Caden on "accident" we make eye contact. I blush and he smiles. "Hi!" He says with a huge smile.

"H-" "Hurry up we got to go!" Mr. William yells.
Caden and I both walk away. I just think about his blonde hair and gorgeous blue eyes. I glance at him. He glances at me for about four seconds. Then he puts his stand on the cart. I move my brown hair out of my face. I get down on my knees my black pants get dust on them. I unassembled my clarinet. I put all the pieces in the right spots. I shut my case and latch it shut. I grab the handle. I bite my lip and look at Caden.

He looks back and smirks. He walks over to me. Well tried to. Ben walked over to him and said. Something about the mallet bag. He walks over the the mallet bag and grabs it. He tries to walk over to me again. But we all start filing out of the large gymnasium.

My shoes get buried in the snow. I run in the snow with Lillian. We make it on the bus. Lillian sits with Kendra and I sit by myself. Every one walks up the stairs. I see Caden he looks at me and smiles.

"Cad-" "Caden come sit by me!" Matt yells to Caden cutting me off.

I sigh and place my hand under my head, and lean on the window.

Mr. Williams walks up the stairs.

"Alright when we get to school going get dressed and go to your 6th hour!" He yells.

He gets off the bus and goes to his black car. He drives to the school. The bus follows him.

I glance at Caden.

"Caden who do you like?" Matt asks Caden.

Caden looks at me I look away.

"Um.. No one." He hesitated.

I feel my heart shatter into millions and millions of pieces. We make it to the school I look at him. He looks at me. He mouths 'I'm sorry..' I run my arm and look down. I get off the bus with every one else. Caden runs up to me and taps my shoulder. I turn around and bite my lip.

"Hi.." I say shyly.

"Hi." He says with a cute smile.
