Will you fly away?
Like a butterfly.
Into the sky,
And become free.
Flutter your wings,
As fast as you can.
Fly far away,
And leave your past behind
You were once a caterpillar,
Small and growing.
Stuck to the ground,
No wings,
No way to fly away.
Now you are in your chrysalis.
Ready to burst free.
Your wings have grown,
But you are stuck.
Are you afraid,
To leave your safe little cocoon you have made.
Are you not ready,
To fly away?
Please leave your cocoon,
Little butterfly.
Even though you are afraid.
It is your time to hatch,
Into a beautiful butterfly.
May the cocoon crack away,
And you stick your little head out.
Will you get the courage to come out?
Will you burst out,
Or crawl out slowly?
Will you wait,
Or will you spread your wings right away
And fly away.
Like a wonderful butterfly?
