Well you see, the day I met you was no normal day. The wind was howling and the warm summer breeze had turned into a swirling storm. Thunder, lightning, rain, wind, the whole shebang. I had to walk home in all this because of course silly me thought it wouldn't rain when I first went out to the beach. My sun bleached hair was whipping in the wind and I was soaked to the bone in the rain that had been pelting against me for the past 15 minutes. I was walking east along the main road in the small beach town that I live in called kaprina Southern California  when a rusty truck came sputtering my way. Now let's pause for a minute. This sounds like a horror movie it was a bit creepy I must admit, with the weather and the fact that I was nothing but my bathing suit with just my knit sweater as a coverup and a big floppy sunhat of course. They're my favourite. But anyways, back to the point. So scary stuff going on, in my mind my over imaginative brain was thinking up all the worst case scenarios. The police found out that I left my 1950s chevy in the parking lot of superstore, or yup I'm going to die, the FBI is taking me away from my family to feed me to the aliens they're hiding in Area 51. But the thing that didn't cross my mind was what actually happened. A young man around my sweet age of 18 pulled up beside me and rolled down his window and laughed at me. You sat there in your heated, dry I might add, car while me, poor poor Audrey Georgia lainee stood mouth agape in the poring rain. Fair? I think not. It took me a second to register what the heck was going on but when I got my bearings my mouth snapped shut and I put one hand on my hat to keep it from coming off and one hand on my hip and straight up said "what is it you want sir, is there a reason your interrupting my lovely walk in this rain? Because if not maybe you could shut up and not laugh at me!" I half shouted. You then looked a bit shocked and a bit apologetic I might add. Then you opened your mouth to make a comeback. "Well aren't you just the sweetest, the men must love that eh? Here I was driving down the road and found it quite hilarious that a girl, a fragile one at that, was walking along the road in this weather and had to stop to see what this was all about. Most girls would find shelter at the slightest sight of rain, but here you are, the one girl who fearlessly braved the terrible weather patterns of kapri."   "Yup here I am" I replied with a sarcastic smile "and for the record I am neither fragile nor foolish."   "Oh clearly your neither" you remarked with a smirk. "Well would you like a ride home perhaps?" You asked questioningly. I glanced around and even though my brain said no, my heart said go, so I shrugged and got into the truck without a word. You snickered and said "no hesitation? I could be a murderer and you just willingly climbed into my truck."   "Well that would be too bad for you because you chose the wrong girl to mess with. I'm highly confident in my defence skills. Taught by my father for 8 years and then when he passed away I lived to train. So try me" I smiled sweetly. You laughed shaking your head and smiled at me while turning on the truck. I took a minute to take in your looks. You were quite handsome. Wind blown brown hair, green eyes that sparkle when you laughed and plump pink lips. You weren't like those models with the jaw lines and all that, you had soft facial features but immensely attractive all the same. You had your own kind of beauty to you. This air of freeness and hope mixed with determination. You looked at me and as if it was an afterthought reached over to shake my hand. Mine fit easily in your as you told me your name was Kenton Clark shrink.  "Im Audrey Georgia lainee" I smiled at the formalities. "It's a pleasure" you say looking me in the eye as if you had known me before. "So where to?" You asks clearing your throat. "Ummmm well I think my grandma would kill me if she saw the state I'm in so maybe you can take me to the store so I can get some new clothes and then maybe to the library? I'm not ready to go home yet." "Alright sounds good to me" you said turning up the music on the country station and off we drove. You bobbed your head to the beat of the music.
