Chapter 8

Noah's Pov:

I look down at Carter. I wish this never happened. A few fall from my eyes as I look at the clock on the wall. It's been ten minutes since Savana got here and not even a single word has been said. I look around and take in everyone's expressions. Savana is finally mourning the loss of Ian, so she's a wreck. Calvin or whatever his name is, is comforting her. Lucas and Ashley look sad, but are more focused in eachother. And Chloe is looking down at Carter with what I would assume is hope. I take a shaky breath and look back down at Carter. I would give anything for him to open his eyes. As though God heard my wish, Carter's eyes flash open. He looks up at me in pure panic. I put my hand on his shoulder. He calms down under my touch. I stare into his eyes, as he stares into mine. We lean closer.. and closer... nose to nose touch.. and closer... until... "Carter!" Chloe shouts. I quickly pull away. God dambit! I glared slightly at Chloe. My gaze softens when I remember how helpful she was through this. My attention quickly snaps to Carter as he speaks. "Where are we?" He asks. "We're in the hospital. You were kidnapped and stabbed. You should be thankful you survived." I turn my gaze and see it was Ashley who spoke. I can see Chloe glare a little but it disappears. I see Carter look around. "Wheres the Ian guy?" Everyone freezes. Nobody dares to answer that. Lucas sighs. "H-hes dead." Carter looks down. I wonder what He's thinking.

Carter's Pov:

I look down. Someone died because I couldn't protect myself. I suddenly feel someone's warm touch around me. I look up and see Noah hugging me. I blush a deep red. "I thought I lost you." Noah speaks in a more sad tone. I hug him back. I try not to wince in to process. I look up see Chloe smirking. "C'mon guys, let's leave the two 'best friends' alone." She says. They all agree and walk out. I look up at Noah. Not sure what to say. I then decide to tell him my feelings. "I love you." I say quickly. Suddenly fear washes over me. What if he doesn't love me?! My fears dissappear quickly. "I love you too." He says. I quickly grab his face and smash my lips against his. He misses back. After we let go to get some air he shocks me. "Will you be my boyfriend?" I couldn't stop the ear to ear smile appearing on my face. "Yes I would love to be your boyfriend." We kiss again. Man I love him!
